Michelle Yeoh at the Cannes Film Festival 2023, wearing necklace by Boucheron

A custom black and white version of the black and green Grosgrain necklace from 2019's Paris Vu Du 26 high jewellery collection, inspired by the landmarks of Paris. The white stone in Michelle's necklace may be cacholong, a form of opal, which was used in the original collection.

The Grosgrain ribbon motif pays tribute to Frédéric Boucheron and his draper family. Set with onyx and malachite and paved with diamonds, the design is reminiscent of Art Deco.

Art Nouveau Boucheron cicada brooch, 1890s.

Depicting a cicada with the most exquisitely made wings in plique-à-jour (letting in daylight) enamel and calibre cut sapphires. The head and the body are set in diamonds and sapphires as well and the eyes are set with two cabochon cat’s eye crysoberyl.
