Outside of the angst, Free! was genuinely such a funny and lighthearted show, at least at the beginning
Pro Tip: Need a cure for your Free! feels? Just watch episodes 11+12 of the dub. Between Haru’s ridiculous goblin voice when he’s yelling and the gymnastics they have to go through to pretend like Australian English is a foreign language to the English speaking characters, it’ll fix you right up. Just don’t watch the last episode, because then you’ll see Rei and Nagisa crying again, and the cherry blossom pool, and for the future and ::ugly sobbing::
