There's a "Massive Fight" going down in Chinatown, started by some racists armed with knives and iron bars against Asian people. We had no Officers available to respond to the call, letting the offenders escape, and several civilians killed.

City Hall won't be happy for us for failing 2 times today...

At the end of the day, we get 3 new frames for our "Attempted Carjacking" investigation case.

The night ends with Jack and Lana talking and flirting on the phone, with Lana confessing that Jack's never-say-die spirit is what attracts her to him...

Day 89, October 11, Friday - The headlines are not directly relevant again today. Officer Kemp reports that she felt dizzy climbing up the stairs, and needs a day off. We grant her leave, but ask her to come back tomorrow. Jack's weekly salary of $3,113 comes in from City Hall.

First call of the day is an "Assault" at St. John's Hospital of an elderly woman by a young man, because the former broke in line in front of the latter. We sent the more experienced Officer Ozaki together with the new guy, Officer Revek, to handle the situation.

Next, we have an "Attempted Robbery" in the Residential Area by a drunken man trying to break into Janet Salazar Guerrero's house. It turned out to be a False Alarm, even though it shouldn't have been, just because the intruder was drunk and thought he was breaking into his own house.

At the same time there was a "Bomb Threat" at Desire Park, where the informant tells us the Corn Monument has been strapped with explosives. Although it sounded suspiciously like a False Alarm, we couldn't be too sure. So we sent 6 Officers and SWAT to the scene. It turned out to be a prank played some children.

Just then, we have another call from Desire Park, this time about "Drug Use" of some addicts loitering around the Edgar Allan Poe monument in broad daylight. We sent 3 Officers to arrest them.

An investigation case of an "Attempted Carjacking" at the FurFur Store comes in for our Detectives. A teenager stole and expensive car, lost control and crashed the vehicle, and fled the scene. We put Detective Kang as Lead Detective, and send all our Shift A Detectives as Support.

There is a serious "Firefight" going down in Chinatown, with several people shooting at each other with machine guns. It looks to be a Mafia War, even though we had arrested the Sand Mafia? We sent 6 Officers and SWAT to respond to the call, and we came back with Automatic Weapons confiscated.

There's a case of "Fraud" happening in the Office Building by an investment company called Moneygrow. Apparently, the director has withdrawn all the money and is preparing to flee the country. We sent Officers Ozaki and Syahovich to the search their offices, and while there, a woman quickly hides a file in a safe. We noticed and ordered our Officers to take the hidden file from the safe.

Another False Alarm of a supposed "Massacre" at Desire Park. This time, we could not tell that it was a False Alarm because the call mentioned people running and screaming, "covered in blood". We sent 8 Officers and SWAT before we were told that it was the Indian Festival of Colours.

Meanwhile, while the False Alarm was going down, there was a "Rape" case at Atticus Tower, which we had no Officers available to respond to and I forgot to capture the details of the call in time. Needless to say, the offender escaped and there was a victim killed.

Bill Buckler reported that there was an "Illegal Arms Sales" going down near his Farm, which evolved into a firefight between him with an old gun, and a couple of men. We sent 7 Officers, SWAT and a Paddy Wagon to the scene, and order our men to shoot to kill. They took care of the situation and found Automatic Weapons as loot, which we take down to the Police Station now that there's no more Mafia to sell to.

At the same time, there is a call for an "Assault" case at the Entertainment District by a group of girls against bodybuilders participating in a bodybuilding show. We sent 3 Officers and it turned out to be a False Alarm - the girls were shouting insults at the bodybuilders' lifestyle, which brought them to tears.

It is Day 88, October 10, Thursday, and we have some spicy headlines, although none directly concerning Jack. Today, one of our new recruits, Officer Sugiura, requests time off because she is old and easily tires. Her energy bar is just 2 bars, so we grant her time off from today's duties.

Our Detectives whom we previously sent to the Police Academy to attempt to get them an additional Stripe, have returned. Detective Richard Kuzma (995) failed, while Detective Lyndon Moser (940) passed. Looks like we have to re-send Detective Kuzma to the Police Academy later.

Today, we also send an additional 2 of our lowest ranking Officer and Detective to the Police Academy, completing the task City Hall set for us to send 4 cops to the Police Academy.

Our first call of the day is about a potential "Abduction" case of a 13-year-old girl, whereby a witness saw the rusty white truck that's wanted in connection with the schoolyard kidnapping, parked on Route 22. Inside the van, the kidnapper and the young girl were playing with dolls. We arrest the man and secure the girl.

The next call is about an "Assault" of a young waitress at the Octopus Restaurant who was accused by the assailant of flirting with her husband. We sent 3 Officers to the scene, taking care to have at least 2 female Officers to handle the female-on-female assault.

There is a reported "Terrorism" case in the Suburbs by Mr. Norris, a former military man. Even though it sounded suspicious, to err on the side of caution, in case it was a real bomb explosion, we sent in 5 Officers and SWAT. Turns out, it's a False Alarm like our initial instincts told us. The explosion was from Mr. Norris' neighbours doing renovation and demolition works.

There's an "Abuse of Authority" at City Hall by a minor city official, Jasper Redmond. Apparently, he refused to grant necessary permits to a businessman to open a store unless said businessman gave him a $20,000 bribe. We do a sting operation with the cooperation of the businessman who pretends to hand over the bribe, just as our 3 Officers bust in on the exchange. Jasper Redmond attempts to flee through his office window, but is tackled and arrested.

There's a simple "Attempted Carjacking" at the Port, where two men were witnessed trying to break into a truck. We sent just 2 Officers to tackle the case.

An "Attempted Murder" at the Beach, is the same as the previous "Terrorism" case - it's a False Alarm. The report by the sailor was a bit ludicrous, talking about mermaids. But just to be safe that there was no other real person trying to take his life, we sent 4 Officers to the scene. Turns out, it was just overgrown algae that snagged his leg near the shore.

A big case of a potential "Homicide" at the Sawmill Neighbourhood was reported. There are two dozen homeless people settling there who are aggressive towards strangers, killing and eating them. We sent 7 Officers and a Paddy Wagon to tackle the case.

While shooting the attacking residents who are armed with knives, a woman runs towards the police with an infant in her arms, asking the police to take her son away from the place. We warn her not to move, or we'll shoot.

Mr. Norris comes back again with another report about a "Shooting" in the Suburbs. He heard "several sharp claps" which he interpreted as coming from a M-16. We didn't bother to send any Officers, and yes, it was a False Alarm. Those claps were from popped children's birthday party balloons.

There's a "Disorderly Conduct" at the Drugstore, where an elderly woman took off her clothes. We send Officer Asano who is female to the scene.

At the same time, there's a big case of "Human Trafficking" at the Port, where armed guards are keeping watch over containers of illegal immigrants being sold as slaves. We send 8 Officers and a Paddy Wagon to deal with the case.

Meanwhile, we just have 4 low-ranking Officers left to deal with a call about "Assault" at the Rubinovich Casino of a female dealer by a man who lost a large sum of money at the poker table. He points a gun at the female dealer, and we instruct our Officers to shoot the man.

...Continued from Day 87, October 9, Wednesday:

In the meantime, there is a "Hostage Situation with a Fatal Casualty" at the Residential Area, where masked gunmen flee a bank, running into an apartment building. One of the robbers was wounded.

When our 7 Officers and SWAT arrive on the scene, they find the doorman lying unconscious on the floor, the elevator not working and traces of blood on the steps. We instruct our Officers to follow the trail of blood, which leads to a corpse of a woman at the top of the stairs. Then we have our men throw stun grenades into the apartment that the criminals have holed up in.

We successfully capture everyone and uncovered Money at the crime-scene.

At night, we get a call about "Suspicious Individuals" in the Suburb, reported by one Naomi Rutherford who is concerned about Communists invading Freeburg. Turns out, she was right - the family in question are immigrants from the Soviet Union, however, it's still counted as a False Alarm because they are not a threat. They just need new clothes.

To end off the night, a simple "Fight" at the Christopher G. Sand's Ice Arena that required 3 Officers to respond to a few girls fighting, ballooned into something that requires additional 5 Officers as backup. In the end, civilians were killed and the offenders escaped. But at least our Officers are unscathed.

Day 87, October 9, Wednesday - Another slow news day today. We only have 2 requests for time-off - one from our new hire, Officer Revek, who is reporting for his first work day, and he says he wants to go help a friend who crashed their car. We tell him no, he may not take-off to help his panicking friend.

The other is a more legitimate request from Officer Cook, whose father died last night from the house burning down. He wants to take off work today to plan the funeral. We approve his request, but ask him to come in tomorrow.

Today we bury with military honours Officer Chand Svare Ghei (150), Officer Melissa Spain (305), Officer Chris Lovasz (270) and Officer Roberta Timpson (535). We acknowledge their duty and sacrifice to Freeburg P.D.

Meanwhile, Officers Flowers and Glenn have finished their training at the Police Academy but flunked all their exams, so they don't get a rank up or increase in Professionalism.

City Hall sends us an ultimatum to send 4 cops for retraining within the next 2 days because we have been hiring Police Academy graduates with the lowest grades.

We thought the "Shooting" at Atticus Tower was a legitimate report, so we sent 7 Officers together with SWAT and the Paddy Wagon to the scene. Turns out, it's a False Alarm - the office employee heard gunshots and screams coming from the roof, but the roof is actually being used to film the final skyscraper scene of the new action movie "Bloody Shirt 5: Johnny's New Look".

There's an "Unlawful Assembly" at St. John's Hospital by Abortion Opponents that have gathered to blockade the place. They're acting very aggressively such that doctors and nurses are afraid to leave the building. We sent 5 Officers and they request for backup, however we have no one extra to send, so they had to settle the case themselves.

In the City Center, there's a group of pranksters who are guilty of "Reckless Endangerment" of the public. This time, they are trying to lure some people with a $100 bill on the street into an alley. We instruct Officers Dodd and Vermillion to quietly enter the alley from the other side and arrest the pranksters.

Nancy French from the Octopus Restaurant has paid Jack a visit with a problem - her foreign cooks are spitting in the food and putting all sorts of strange things and foreign objects into the food. She wants us to send 2 Officers to intimidate the cooks with jail time or deportation. We sent Officers Mixon and Hollinger to threaten them, and it worked! Nancy French was so thankful, she treated the Officers to some crab salad and sake, so they're drunk now on the shift. Great.

We receive an anonymous tip-off that someone is engaging in "Fraud" in the Ghetto - producing and selling fake documents, certificates and other papers. Officers Flores and Simpson go to the scene to investigate the case, and are greeted by a man wearing glasses presenting his federal agent ID. We ignore the ID and put him in cuffs.

A gift shop seller called in a "Theft" of a statue of the Freeburg monument at Atticus Tower, but apparently it's called off as a False Alarm because the "thief" in question is pop star Alana Moraes, who had simply forgotten the statuette was in her bag. She signed her autograph for the seller as a way of apologizing for the kerfuffle.

There is a "Reckless Endangerment" in the Suburb where 2 smoke-filled teenagers are sitting on the side of the road playing Russian Roulette. We send 3 Officers to the scene.

...Continued from Day 86, October 8, Tuesday:

It is night-time, and there are 2 back-to-back calls - firstly, a "Fight" at the Beach amongst 4 black men with shovels and metal detectors who had found something valuable in the sand and were fighting about their shares.

The second call is about "Theft" on Route 22, where a Pavel Holub lost $3,000 worth of jewellery to a girl he paid to have sex with. We found the jewellery and bring it back to the police station as evidence.

While the above 2 cases were going on, a call comes in for a "Massive Fight" at Lucifer in the Sky with Lizards Night Club. We had no Officers available to attend to the call, so we ignored it and got some civilians killed while the perpetrators escaped.

It is Day 86, October 8, Tuesday, and it's a slow news day for the news headlines, with nothing of import to report. Today, only Officer Gorshkov is excused from work due to his tiredness and being drunk. We're operating on a lean staff of 9 as 2 of our Officers are off at the Police Academy. But we see our 2 new Officers, Officer Sugiura and Officer Wuggles, report for duty today.

Today is also hiring day as the Labour Market has refreshed with new people to recruit. We hire Officer Roscoe Revek (140) and Officer Justin Vermillion (120) for Shift A, and Officer Rick Dixon (250) for Shift B. We also hire a single detective, Detective Suhei Kanou (100) for Shift B.

First call in the morning is an "Armed Robbery" by 3 drunk women who entered LiveGood Minimarket which is an all-night store. They climbed behind the counter, grabbed the shotgun and wounded the shopkeeper. We send 5 of our Officers, 2 of them being our newbies to tag along our very senior Police Sergeant Kochi (1385).

Jack also heads to Atticus Corp. to try out their Secret Account service, where he deposits $500,000 into his Secret Account. This leaves him with $134,064 cash on hand.

We also have the "Abduction" case pending from yesterday. We go ahead and arrange the Arrest of the poor grandmother, Judith McCain, who now lives in the Trailer Park. Detective Akers is our Lead Detective, and he's accompanied by Officers Purdy and Samadi.

We have a call coming from a barber shop in the Ghetto about a "Suspicious Individual" who asked for a haircut "so that no one could recognise him". This is obviously a False Alarm, and in any case, no one should call the police on someone just based on little-to-no evidence.

Meanwhile, arriving at the "Armed Robbery" scene at LiveGood Minimart, one of the drunk women opens fire at our Officers. We instruct our Officers to work around the store and use the back door instead.

Next, we have a "Shooting" in the Ghetto of a mother and boyfriend by the mother's son. The mother got shot in the leg, while the boyfriend was shot 3 times in the stomach. We send 4 Officers over, and they immediately requested for back-up. However, we refused and tell them they are on their own, and they settled the problem anyway.

We have an "Abduction" at the Kindergarten by a mother who had lost custody of her son. School Security tried to stop her from leaving, however she locked herself and her son in a room, demanding that the school release her son.

At the Kindergarten, a crowd of children and caregivers are around the door, so we instruct our Officers to find another entrance to the room. While the mother is trying to escape through the room window, we tell her to open the door for the police and not make things worse than it is. We managed to talk her out of further mischief.

In the Suburbs, an elderly woman called in about her neighbour doing "Child Abuse" to her young son, who is drowning in the inflatable pool.

We have another report of a "Suspicious Individual" at the Octopus Restaurant where the young waitress says she saw a wanted fugitive from TV enter the restaurant. We sent 2 Officers to the scene, although it turned out to be a False Alarm as the man was Manuel Torreblanca, Latin American soap opera star. A waste of police time and resources...

Meanwhile, Atticus Corp. needs our help to send 4 Officers to patrol the perimeter of their construction site and grab anyone suspicious who might be stealing construction materials. In return for sending our men, Ron Atticus rewards us $8,000.

Over at Desire Park, there was a magic show being held, but the stoned person who called in reported an "Attempted Murder", when it was a False Alarm - a scheduled performance by the famous magician Lorenzo Trentino. We of course send no one.

...Continued from Day 85, October 7, Monday:

In the evening, we have an "Assault" at the Foundry, where Adair Ortiz snapped, attacked his boss and beat him severely after there was a wave of cuts at the plant. He's about to throw the boss into a vat of molten metal. We send 5 Officers to the scene. There, we order our Officers to shoot the suspect.

At night, there's a reported "Drug Trafficking" going down at the Port, where eyewitness saw several cars surrounded by a dozen armed men unloading something suspicious from a container. We sent the full 8 Officers, SWAT and Paddy Wagon. And we retrieved Heroin, which we bring in to the police station now that there's no more Mafia to sell to.

At the same time, we received another "Drug Trafficking" tip-off that the Hell on Wheels Car Dealership is being used to smuggle heroin. We send 4 Officers to the scene, but it turns out to be a False Alarm. The phony tip came from some competitors who were hoping to harm the car dealership's reputation.

To round out the night, we received 3 new frames for the "Abduction" Investigation, and managed to solve who abducted the little girl. It was Judith McCain, the grandmother of the little girl who decided no court has the right to take away her granddaughter. We'll need to wait for tomorrow, when our Lead Detective, Detective Akers (500) is back at work, to make the arrest.
