First Free Comic Book Day in Portland yesterday. This shop was a little bit smaller than the other ones I’ve been to but still had some solid content nonetheless. Big shoutout to their little indie author section.

So yesterday was free comic book day and I went again this year. I didn’t get to scan through the boxes of dollar comics this year because I have a sprained wrist and didn’t want to deal with the crowds surrounding them and possibly bumping/hurting my wrist. But I still got some cool treasures.
60 free comics, 3 posters, some cards, & stickers.
Bought 17 figures - Green Hornet and Kato still in the box, 3 LOTR, Dracula from Van Helsing, 3 Funko Pops, Stan Lee Dorbz, Captain America, Kirk from Wrath of Khan, Exo-Skeleton Spawn, 3 Heroclix, and Static Shock. Plus two books and 4 stickers.
I got really excited about the Green Hornet figures. I was bouncing throughout the store as I carried it. I hurt my wrist holding them, but I wasn’t gonna risk someone swiping from me. It wasn’t originally priced and I was terrified they were gonna say it wasn’t for sale. I was ready to cry if they did. But it was and now it’s mine and I’m happy. 😊
In just 24 hours I'll again be helping the folks at Jetpack Comics celebrate FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2024. Lots of activities planned for this historic day, the single most important date in the Nerd Calendar.
