My thoughts on the Watergate Issue.
As president of the United States of America, I would like to address the false accusation that have been placed upon my name. This false accusation that has been made appears to be tied with connections between myself and the several burglars who broke into the Democratic National Committee headquarters. However, I can assure you fellow Americans, that I did not have any type of prior knowledge whatsoever about the Democratic National Committee headquarters break-in nor did I know what had happened until I read today’s news.
I can clarify to you fellow Americans that I did not:
1. Have any knowledge of the Watergate incident until I was investigated.
2. Have any affiliation with any of the burglars who broke into the Democratic National Committee headquarters.
3. Partake in any effort to coverup the WaterGate break-in.
4. Provide any funds to the Watergate defendants.
5. Encouraged or allowed any subordinate to partake in this illegal action.
In addition, I would like to address that I am not trying to cover up the Watergate investigations either. The only reason why I am trying to close the case is due to the fact that our national security information could be at risk. The reason why it is at risk is because if we were to continue with this investigation, more unnecessary sensitive national security information and other covert operations will be leaked to the public.
This issue will not prevent me from fulfilling my duties as the president of the United States of America.
