So this is hell, Never thought doing the right thing would get me here. saddest of stories it’s just the beginning. Letting go feels like Im still drowning. To a place filled with fire. Incase anythings still alive, it shall burn from the inside. I'll be the sacrifice of this lesson learned, heres my heart open wide. Its not beating, I must be dead. Close Enough Apart. The dream came true, you and I on a rendezvous, sitting close enough apart, an epilogue to critique our end. We sat on a beach, watching waters tidally locked, a reflection of us, in lifes ebb and flow. We’re like the ocean always reaching for the shore, I can never touch you unless theres the perfect storm. She told me about all the places shes been, but only our age had caught my attention. 19 year old feelings on a 30 year old face, oh the journey back here, is so hard to trace. Slightly she brushed back her hair, all I could see were the grays, Like memories fading And times when I wasnt there. Times someone else had loved her, times someone else had cared, wished I couldve loved you more, wish I couldved told you how beautiful...so beautiful, you still were. She dipped her toes almost dancing on that water, not like a tourist but like a traveler who traveled in time, my paradigm. For an instance we were 21, no one beforehand, and never anyone after. But only I could see my favorite endeavor, Where you were my world, a future everafter. Until, I saw her ring and her dress not meant for me. Her conquest in love had finally come to an end. She was saved and had overcome one of life’s tribulations. We weren't lucky enough with just serendipitous intents. Time passes structures built, crumbles into sand from the oceans strength. feels like we weren’t meant. Till in the end she said this could've been you. Not a moment to breathe, not a minute to think, my words came out would you have wanted it too? At a certain point in time she was confident, that I couldve been, that I was good enough for her, Someone she could've shared everything someone to share with her whole world. In my dreams and in my mind, that point and that time, comes like a rhyme So sure, we’ll correspond always On the next line. But not today, not in our prime. Muse I write because its the safest way to get to you, that I may never hold you again So I keep these words wide open. To build open new worlds. When you are cold, I hope this written line, lights a fire. Because every time I think of you, I get inspired. If poetry were a religion, you are my one and only deity. You give me the power to alliterate anything. Words like, you, love, life all start sounding the same. Your heart and mine, are similes. Syllables in their beats, metaphorically speaking they start sounding like rhymes. Cause my brain is usually starving, and the only way to satiate it is a thought of you. I'll turn a night sky full of stars into my own allegory of the cave. Each star is your reflection behind me, only truth I see. I'll believe it till you come in there and unchain me. And when you feel of no use, like a body without a soul, I hope you know theres one person in this unforgiving world who thinks of you as their muse. Letter of recommendation: This is my friend, The following candidate has made my life strange, but it makes sense in the end. No matter how much you believe you’re in hell, this place feels like heaven, when my best friends there. We made mistakes, polluting pure rivers with fire filled lakes. But I’d cross it for you, when bridges bend and break, as you did when my worse caught up to me. A true friends stab you in the front, kill you when you need to be killed, ending my suffering. It’s a long shot but maybe the word friend is derived from free ends, cause when you start something wrong they’ll be there, to pick up the pieces, and wash these hands covered with sin, no questions. Platonic Plankton When youre in love you become like gods. Everything else is background noise that doesnt have sounds. Omnipotent, we control this moment. No longer apart of reality, Because the alpha and the omega Is now you and me respectively. Unlimited potential, like an abstract thought without context. If we were parts of the brain, We've become the prefrontal cortex. Most evolved we could ever be, But Gods have to die For everyone's life and salvation. Martyrs for their own religions. they become shells of themselves, Evolving to something else More a kin to human beings Because we must continue being. Losing love feels and looks like devolving. Raquel Name Dad's are a remnant of the past, specially for the Raquel fam. They take you to task, without you doing wrong. Only thing you've done was inherit this name. This name, that unmasks you at such a young age. To the values of real laborious work and how to treat girls. They taught us to cook, they taught us to clean, but never held the bike, and threw us in the ocean if we wanted to learn to ride or swim. We used to question if we were just mere possessions, as kids we were never ready for this, the pressure the responsibility, without the hugs or loving sensibility. But now as adults, we understand throughout. Its a tough world out there, and you protected us by letting us out. We shared the bond at such a young age, that our fathers, thought us young men yet we weren't even teen age. Almost treated like equals, they'll share the rewards if you shared the labor. We learned life ain't easy and nothings granted. Beautifully Abandoned Let me begin by saying, let's not. I'm a bad boy with too many chances, a few too many romances. I'm the type you've met before, who is every thing but, innocent and simple. Never serious, jokingly true, he's funny cause he's hurting inside. But funny thing is, I've always been funny, it's an intellectual sign. Sure I come with a lot of baggage. Its because on my first two trips I was left stranded. I did however enjoy myself. And because of them I learned to love being grounded. In the idea that love comes, but has to be beautifully abandoned. I'm addicted to the asian drama, it got easier each time, true definition of karma. I learned that love should have an expiration date, like the sun, we would never really appreciate how lovely it was without the rainy days. So love wouldn't be as strong If you never really experienced A heart break. And as the heart breaks, I want the art in your heart. Conflict builds character builds glory.
