(2/2) “I’ll never be like the girls you had before me.”. • • #freestylediaries When I go to the studio I usually freestyle to whatever song that’s been stuck in my head then play around with it until it just feels natural. I give myself 2-3 tries to capture whatever I come up with at the end of my session as my way of tracking my progress (hence why there’s some splicing in the video). When I freestyle, I try to remind myself that I don’t dance for anyone but for myself. I’m learning to allow the energy & movements my body creates flow through me rather than force it.
