So fun to watch and cheer for @rclaywright today in the men's freestyle class at Worlds. I had to pause and think that all this energy and even the World Championships might not be happening if Clay hadn't invented the cornerstone and still most impressive single move ever done in a kayak, the front loop. Decades later, it is one of the most important moves, and every competitor in Worlds has it in their ride. It has also become a cornerstone move that many other tricks are just loop variations. To top this off, Clay is the defending squirt World Champ, and I'm going to watch him compete in another World Championships in a few hours. He always puts on a great show as he disappears below the water for an uncomfortable length of time. Cheers to Clay! It's always fun watching you paddle. @kokatatusa @jackson.kayak #freestylekayaking @icffreestyle #nottinghamworlds2022 #livinglegends (at National Water Sports Centre, Nottinghamshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfWo8EuMiGJ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
