@adventurous.miss achieved her goal of JR Woman World Champion at the ICF Freestyle Kayaking World Championships in Nottingham, England. It's been a long journey that started 14 years ago when I bought four-year-old Abby a used red @jackson.kayak Fun 1 in Cody, Wyoming. Many people thought it was crazy to get this little girl who could barely swim a whitewater kayak. But I hoped that she would find the love for rivers I had. After sampling all types of whitewater disciplines, she honed in on freestyle being the most inclusive, exciting, and loving community. Finding the support of @ericjacksonkayak @emilyjacksonkayak @nicktroutmankayak, she entered her first freestyle competition at age 7. This lit a fire, and she went on to gain friendship and support from @ohara_claire, @sagekayak, Stephen Wright @rclaywright the whole Voorhees Family. Really there is a lifetime of people who have influenced and supported Abby as a kayaker. I wish I could list you all. But this win is for all of us. She wouldn't be where she is today without all this support from the kayaking community. Thank you!!! We are buzzing with excitement and exhaustion.
