I did this trip in Holland with my mom a few years back in the north of Holland. #freisland #leeuwarden where she’s from,the small town where she was born @leeuwardenstad was one of my favorite parts. Little cafes, pottery shops, artists lofts and big smiling Dutch folks with huge hands and nice bicycles with shops a plenty. I played a mini concert in this café and my mom sat there drinking her coffee listening to her son play music in the town that she was born in 65 years earlier. De Kaai

The windmill is probably the structure most identified with the Netherlands. In fact, from young, that is probably the only thing I know about Holland, as I knew the Netherlands to be. I was fortunate to be able to visit the small city of Sloten in the province of Friesland. It is a pretty little city with a canal running around the city and right through it. It is pleasure to walk around the city since it is quite pretty. One of Sloten's more significant landmarks here is an old windmill. I remembered the first time we got somewhat up close with a windmill and it was in Kinderdijk, unfortunately, the park was closing and we couldn't get that close to the windmills.

Sports Cars at Ir.D.F. Woudagemaal

One of our companions wasn't interested in learning about the Ir.D.F. Woudagemaal World Heritage Site. While we were inside the facility exploring, he was outside taking selfies. When we got out, we found out that he discovered something interesting. There were at lot of sports cars which came here. They seem to be part of some group but I wasn't really sure. We didn't go around asking questions. Earlier there was a wedding photo shoot as well, so I think this is a famous place for events. I wasn't sure if they race cars were in any way related to the wedding shoot either. There was some food at the visitor center for the visitors, it was tempting to join them but we would have stood out too much.
