I spent nine hours out there that night, standing in the crisp -2°C air, letting the silence wrap around me while the sky slowly revealed its colors.

But then the winter sky opened up. The nebulaes glowing softly above the snow-covered slopes, the stars scattering like frost across the darkness. Suddenly the long drive and the freezing hours didn’t matter anymore.
