An active church market in France... 😍 'Church of Notre Dame, Poitiers.' was drawn by Thomas Allom and engraved on steel by W. Wallis for "Europe Illustrates: its Picturesque Scenes and Places of Note, described by John Sherer; Superbly embellished with steel engravings by Turner, Allom, Bartlett, Leitchm and other eminent artists. First series. France, Belgium, and the Rhine." It was printed and published by The London Printing and Publishing Company out of London in 1876. This print measures 9 ¼ x 12 ½ inches and is available on our website listed above! It's been too long since we've scoured through antique markets in the French countryside. This Roman Catholic Church dates back to the 10th century, and though it has faced several rebuilds over the centuries, it still stands as an active church. Perhaps we'll have to add it to our summer plans... 🤔🇫🇷⛪️💛 #french #frenchchurch #notredamedepoitiers #eglisenotredamelagrande #poitiers #eglise #france #romanesque #romancatholic #romancatholicchurch #frenchcountrymarket #frenchcountry #explorefrance #explorer #church #antiqueprint #vintagechurch #10thcentury #churcharchitecture #engravings #walldecor #wallart #religiousart #design #architecure #buildings #uniquegiftideas #originalgift #arthistorian #traveltheworld (at Église Notre-Dame la Grande, Poitiers)
