Took some trial and error, but I’ve successfully built a simple frequency divider circuit. Using a pair of D-type flipflops on a single 7474, I’ve turned 32MHz into 16MHz and 8MHz.
I don’t have any 8MHz crystal oscillators in my stockpiles, but I do have a pair of 32MHz crystals, so I figured this was the best way to approach the problem. I need 8MHz for a project involving a Phillips SAA-1099 which is slowly coming to fruition.
