Summary: Frank picks up. “Hello?”
“You’re not Mikey,” Gerard says and Frank snorts. “I’m not. That’s for sure.”
Frank flops down onto his seat and closes his door. “Hmmm. Must have got the wrong number,” Gerard says, his voice muffled a little. “No dude. I don’t think so.” A pause. Gerard mumbles something and Frank says, “I’m Frank. You’re Mikey’s brother, right?” “Yes. That’s me. You’re Mikey’s friend?” “Yeah.”
Frank wants to turn the heat on but he can’t find his car keys. He’s searching for them frantically when Gerard asks, “Mikey around?” “No. He forgot his phone so I grabbed it for him.”
Of course, Frank’s keys are where he left them a few seconds ago, dangling outside on his door. Frank opens it again, grabs his keys and locks the door behind him. It’s not the best neighborhood.
