Hawaiian Ahi Poke is a traditional Hawaiian dish featuring fresh ahi tuna marinated in a savory soy sauce mixture, served over rice and topped with creamy avocado, crisp cucumber, and sweet mango.
Ingredients: 1 lb fresh ahi tuna, cubed. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 1 tbsp sesame oil. 1 tsp rice vinegar. 1 tsp honey. 2 green onions, thinly sliced. 1/2 tsp sesame seeds. 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional. 1 avocado, diced. 1/4 cup diced cucumber. 1/4 cup diced mango. Cooked white rice, for serving.
Instructions: Soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and honey should all be mixed together in a bowl. Toss the cubed tuna in the bowl slowly to coat it. Put it in the fridge with the lid on for at least 30 minutes to marinate. If you want, you can add sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes right before serving. Put the tuna that has been marinated on top of cooked white rice. Add diced avocado, cucumber, and mango on top of the rice.
