Second Meetings || Freya and Adam
Adam stood near the outskirts of the forest, somewhat nervous. The forest was, after all, forbidden. Not that it was often enforced, but Adam never was one to draw attention to himself, especially by breaking rules. He bounced on the balls of his feet and fiddled with lint in his pockets, wondering what he was waiting for.
For starters, he didn't know where in the forest he would find her, or what he could expect to find before he found her. But in her owls, it had seemed urgent, and he had to admit that he wanted to see her, too. He wasn't looking forward to the awkward dialogue of their second meeting, nor did he understand what would be expected of him. And to be honest, he had been wanting to see her.
She had asked him not to judge her; Adam couldn't think of a reason he would. There had been enough things in his past and in the pasts of his friends. He knew that everyone had fears and secrets, and never wanted to be judged for his.
He took a deep breath to steady himself, secured his windbreaker around himself, and walked into the forest. Even around the edges, the trees all looked the same, and he wondered how he would find Freya, much less ever make his way out. He considered trying to send her some kind of signal, sparks with his wand, anything, but quickly decided against it, due to her fervent warning of the dangers of the forest just days before.
"Freya?" he asked, quietly, trying to navigate without too much noise.
