yeah you know ‘ today we eat at mcdonalds’ or wendys or taco bell or w/e

its come up recently as a super cynical dismissal of any kind of amusing and tangentially corporate piece of media like, as a way to assert smug superiority over stating the basically true feature of like, franchise social media and advertisements as calculated efforts that arent genuine

but it also just reeks of self important liberalism trying to establish oneself as Aware without actually adressing or realizing any problems. As if pointing out that corporations are hollow and corrupt is some unique and funny idea, while simultaneously deriding people of the small joys and amusement that they might find in those, as well as the fact that although corporate culture is toxic and overbearing that a lot of those social media accounts and individual projects are run but individual people with little over sight etc

Basically its just a cheap bandwagon meme that I hate because

you can always do what i do and specialise in just a few of them. i recommend paradox'es strategy games like europa universalis 4 they're fun you can take over the world as tibet

my friends tried to get me into those kinds of strategy games but like... theyre booooooooring and hard. i want baby games like zelda and titanfall where im a cool badass. or go back to old tony hawk games

But I guess my opinion on it is when I’m able to I might as well speak rationally and get maybe 1 out 4 people to rethink saying something stupid and learn something

its better to TRY and spread mutual knowledge than to just shut everything down right. just gotta know when they deserve it or not, or when you personally have the energy to afford it.
