No one:
Martha Wells:
The mission of a SecUnit is to protect humans. When it is ordered to kill humans, that’s a profound disruption of its core programming. There is probably a high correlation between SecUnits forced to kill humans and SecUnits who find a way to go rogue.
And she thinks saying this is somehow arguing against fans that have said Murderbot clearly has "Stockholm Syndrome" because it keeps going back to protect slave owners even though that puts it in more danger.
She thinks that saying it is fundamentally programmed to want to protect humans no matter what they do to it, and this is a good thing that neither it nor we should be upset about, is arguing that it doesn't have Stockholm Syndrome.
Also, do you not love how she says the only reason a slave would ever try to escape is if they were forced to kill a poor innocent slave owner? If not for that they'd have no reason to be upset about being enslaved. She thinks this is making her look good.
I swear every time she says anything about this series to try and defend it she just makes it even more clear how racist she is and how racist the books are.
"Murderbot doesn't have Stockholm Syndrome that makes it want to protect its slave owners, it's just fundamentally incapable of not wanting to protect slave owners because of its programming! This is a good thing!!!! Don't worry about it!!!!"
