teia was doing an on-the-street interview set and happened to run into ierian. like, literally. her camera smacked him in the face. she bought him coffee as an apology, they traded contact information, and ierian fell in love instantly

ierian lmao but it took him a while to actually realize “wait holy shit i want to take this person on dates and live with her and do nice things for her as more than just her friend”

ierian’s older sister coracia tbh. she thinks they’re adorable together

it was really spontaneous tbh teia had been having a bad day at work so when she saw ierian and he was just being so gentle and sweet and understanding and she just. kissed him.

they went to go see the new blasto movie and then went back to teia’s place and cooked dinner together and it was CUTE

teia’s probably chill with it but like. ierian’s a fairly private person so he’s not really comfy abt group things unless he’s assured it’s strictly a platonic outing just a bunch of friends hanging out no dating involved beyond “hey this is so-and-so’s s.o., say hi”

What do they do in their down time?

when they were younger they’d go out A Lot but once they’re older they like to just. sit around and enjoy each other’s presence. they’ll watch tv, or read, or go to a park and people-watch, and so on. they don’t need to do things so much anymore; just being together is enough.

What was the first meeting of parents as an official couple like?

teia meeting ierian’s parents went over great!!!! teia found out ierian’s dad is deaf and brushed up on sign language just to talk to him, which got her mega brownie points, and also she is a good and pure sweetheart and won over ierian’s mom with like zero effort

ierian meeting teia’s parents was a bit more. eeeeesh. they liked him, but it was awkward, cause teia’s sort of the black sheep of her family, so there was a lot of unspoken implications about him getting her “under control” and making her more meek and docile when he had no intention of doing that. mostly they were relieved she hadn’t brought home some unruly punk and had instead found a nice, soft-spoken lawyer who was patient with her.

What was their first fight over and how did they get past it?

it was pretty stupid tbh. they argued over where they should go for dinner one night when they hadn’t gone grocery shopping recently and didn’t have anything acceptable in the apartment. ierian wanted one restaurant, teia wanted another, and they compromised by going to neither and going with their second choices, which were the same restaurant anyway.

Which one is more easily made jealous?

neither really gets jealous that much tbh?? they both trust each other to be faithful and acknowledge that just because they find a stranger attractive doesn’t automatically mean they’re going to go jump in bed with that stranger

mmmmmok they don’t really do it that often but they like to sometimes go buy like a Giant bag of candy and walk around eating out of it together they especially like getting like. the dextro equivalent of sour gummy worms. they just get like a huge bag and share it while walking around the presidium

teia!!!! she likes it best when ierian sits at one end of the couch and she stretches out along it, her head against his cowl and his arm wrapped around her. ierian prefers cuddling in bed, but couch cuddles are nice too.

How long do they wait before sleeping together for the first time? What’s the circumstances?

they don’t bang until they’ve been dating for several weeks tbh. ierian was very shy, even though teia was very open about the fact that she was interested in him sexually. when they finally did the deed, it was after one particularly romantic night, with a fancy dinner and a vid and a moonlit walk through a city park. they got back to ierian’s apartment, started kissing, and one thing led to another. ierian had actually never had sex with a woman prior to teia; all his previous sexual encounters had been with men, and maybe halfway through foreplay, he very awkwardly told her such. she simply said she’d teach him, then.

What’s the worst first they’ve ever gotten into?

shortly after adopting teia’s nephew herivius (long story), they got in a fight over what to do about hev’s parents. ierian wanted to prosecute immediately, while teia’s first instinct was to retreat and stay away from her sister. things got heated, and they slept in separate rooms. they managed a compromise in the morning, but they did worry the kids.

ierian!!! he. has to do it twice lol. the first time was super spur-of-the-moment cause he was Excited abt his promotion to ambassador so teia asked if she could have time to think abt it and of course he agreed and then he proposed again when they were watching the sunset a couple weeks later

ehhh i don’t really imagine those are much of a thing in turian culture?? but ierian’s pals totally take him out and get him roaring drunk

fairly small, i figure. i mean, turian weddings i imagine are multiple-day ordeals, so it’s large by human standards, but by turian standards it’s probably kinda little.

nah not really. they take a few days off to rest after the wedding, then back to work.

okokok it’s been A While since i last over-aggressively promo’ed this so here we go again

so this is a thing @admiralvasqwibqwib started writing almost two years ago and i eventually got added onto cause they couldn’t write it all alone, and it’s essentially a royal fuckload of mass effect ocs having a Grand Adventure and being my senior year english teacher’s dream come true (probably). there’s ocs, there’s canon characters, there’s extensive cultural headcanons, there’s interpretations/tweaking/flat-out rewriting of canon (lots of canon deaths don’t happen unless we absolutely can’t help it, for example), there’s pop culture references and more expy characters than we can really keep track of (see: a batarian anti-hegemony resistance movement that’s a long, running shoutout to the decepticons), and there’s this:

throws confetti representation!!! yay!!!!!! including many canon characters, because None Of Your Faves Are [Straight/Cis/Neurotypical/Able-bodied/All or Multiple of the Above]. me and eli are both disabled and queer, found the lack of representation in canon disappointing, and rectified the problem. that 3.6% will also be getting smaller as we go, we haven’t introduced nearly all the main recurring characters yet. there is also a significantly increased rate of survival for wlw, because bury your gays is a Bad Trope
