#FridayHues: Bright Pink!

Today is #FridayHues and I've been looking up a colour that I haven't yet posted on the blog: bright pink.

After looking at some of the A/W Colections 2013-2014 and at some other fashion and photography blogs, I realized that this bright colour is a winter must. Especially on those gloomy days (like today in Buenos Aires).

#FridayHues: Essential Brown

I'm back! I was deprived from all my blogging activity this past week because I was studying for my last exam at university. I'm glad to say that the hard work was not in vain because I have finally got my degree in Communication Sciences!

Enough about me. Let's get down to colours.

Today's #FridayHues are not based on trending tones. In fact, this post is about an essential wardrobe colour: brown. Everyone has at least a pair of brown shoes and a brown bag.

Argentine brand Püne's A/W Collection obviously included some of this hue, and have also recently celebrated a "Winter Must-Haves" gathering at their Tortugas Open Mall shop. A few celebrities, a leather-expert and VIP clients were invited for some nibbles and drinks.

Los #FridayHues de hoy no se basan en las tonalidades que son tendencia. De hecho, esta nota trata sobre un color esencial: el marrón. Todos tenemos al menos un par de zapatos marrones y una cartera marrón.

La colección Otoño Invierno de marca argentina Püne obviamente incluyó este color y además ha celebrado el evento "Winter Must-Haves" en su local del Tortugas Open Mall. Fueron invitadas a un cocktail algunas celebridades, una experta en cueros y las clientas VIP del local.

#FridayHues: Navy Blue + Beige

Happy Friday everyone! As usual, I've chosen some #FridayHues to write about today. This time, I got inspired by Pesqueira's new A/W collection. 

I believe that beige/champainge/gold go very well with navy blue, and this is exactly what the brand has come up with. They have also included other colours in their palette, but I have concentrated in these two tones.

Besides the chosen tints, the prints are key to this collection. Florals and zoo inspired designs contribute to create an innocent and femenine atmosphere. Toile de jouly prints also add some vintage elegance to each piece.

Pesqueira manages to create a balance between dicotomies such as sexy and innocent; modern and vintage and serious and playful attitudes towards life.

Creo que los colores beige/champagne/dorado y el azul marino combinan muy bien, y esto es exactamente lo que propone la marca. También han incluido otros tonos en la paleta, pero solo me he concentrado en estos dos.

Además de los tintes elegidos, las estampas son claves en la colección. Diseños florales e inspirados en la poética zoo contribuyen a crear un clima inocente y femenino a la vez. Los estampados tipo toile de jouli también añaden algo de elegancia vintage a cada pieza.

Pesqueira logra crear un balance entre dicotomias tales como lo sexy y lo inocente; lo moderno y lo vingate y lo serio y lo lúdico. //

Friday Hues: white + neon

Today I've got some special white+neon #FridayHues!

I mean "special" because they are linked to the opening event of Koxis'  new shop in Buenos Aires: #MiCasaFest

I'm so grateful to Mercedes and her team from Muchnik.co who invited me to the event and obviously to Sofía Pracchia, the designer and her team.

It was a lovely gathering with Cata Spinetta as the DJ and amazing drinks by Julep.

We've got some special #FridayHues today. The Argentine brand Muaa! has presented it's new colab collection with the recognized couture designer, Pablo Ramírez.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Ramírez has gone off monochrome black and white this time and, on the contrary, has produced multi-coloured garments.

Fun and sweet, 60's inspired styles are the axis of this limited edition by Muaa! I believe Mary Quant would be more than proud if she saw this collection ;)

Muaa by Pablo Ramírez claims femenine elegance, pony-tails and bows. Defenitely more pearls and fewer studs!

You'll notice that these designs are aligned to one of the trends we predicted in February, this year.

Una edición limitada divertida, dulce e inspirada en los estilos de los años '60. Mary Quant estaría más que orgullosa si viera esta colección ;)

John Foos Hues

Today is #FridayHues at Cian Mode!

I've been having a look at John Foos' new collection for A/W 2013 in Latin America and have discovered amazingly trendy keds. Above all, the colours and textures for this season are most amusing!

Althogh there are loads of hues to get inspired from, I've chosen to look into those muted tones. I believe they influence the rest of the colour and texture palette.
