James from Deadly Digital
We were very lucky to have James from Deadly Digital came round to talk to us and show us all the different kind of papers and finishes that we would be able to use for out future images when coming to print.
Letting you get to see all the paper types side by side was really eye opening and getting to be hands on was really good at being able to see where the paper types had slight differences although gave out a completely different effect. One of the most intriguing aspects was the variation from the papers on a colour to black and white basis. For me trying to find the best mix between contrast and colour as-well as not having yellow or completely matt paper. There was a few types that took my eye, the matt papers had a far better contrast in the black and white images although didn't necessarily in my opinion make the image pop at the viewer. The glossy papers or more translucent where good for colour and vibrancy but often seemed a bit too much for the images and over compensated where the matt papers where under-compensated so it would all be about finding that happy medium.
