Asked mum where she wanted to go for dinner and she chose XO Minced Meat Noodle (XO 肉脞麵), a noodle outlet operated by Yew Kee (友記). Mum got herself the S$4.50 bowl of Chicken Cutlet Noodle (炸鸡扒面) with fried boneless chicken and a sprinkling of crispy tempura bits.
While I went for the Handmade Meatball Noodle (手工肉丸面) at S$5.50. I chose the same dry style thin yellow noodles but mine came with four deep-fried meatballs and a fried dumpling plus the tempura crispy bits. To end the meal, we ordered our Iced Milk Coffee and Kopi O or coffee black.
