Angkor Wat and Angkot Thom are undeniably great feats of architecture that I have not seen the likes of before. The scale and quantity of these ancient temples is astounding. Every tuk tuk ride we went on from one major site to the next had a half a dozen of smaller temples in between. Large moat systems, walls, bridges, and entry gates were throughout. Maybe the most impressive aspect was the smallest of details. Seemingly every surface has ornate designs carved into the stone, which the centuries have worn down but not obscured their genius. If I had a genie in a bottle and a wish to be granted I would have to highly consider going back to the 12 century and see this place at its peak.
