not so much a question as it seems to be a statement, with no shortage of irritation but behind it as well — he’s have enough in his hands with having to show the trade to pesci ( kid hasn’t even gotten his first kill yet, and while he wouldn’t particularly go out of his way to rush it out of him … the rest of the team does seem to be somewhat impatient. calling pesci a deadweight or mocking him isn’t doing anything to help, but as it turns out a group of assassins isn’t particularly keen on being empa - fucking - thetic to one another ), he definitely doesn’t have the time to explain & elaborate on the acceptance of the inevitability of death in his line of work to newbies or outsiders. whatever category this one fits in.
especially not with blood coming out of his arm from being grazed with a bullet. how mundane, sometimes he almost manages to forget that normal people don’t often use stands to defend themselves — it’s almost refreshing, in a way. and definitely something most citizens of naples would come to expect to see or hear while walking down particularly shady streets … like the one they’re in, for example.
