((I just had this idea. So since Christine doesn't know when Erik's birthday is, and he doesn't know when his birthday is, I just see her picking out a day that would 'mark' the occasion. Like the first time they had a lesson or he spoke to her as her 'Angel'. Something that would be important to him, because she feels bad he doesn't celebrate it.))
Christine, Raoul, Meg, and Erik all sat down in Erik's lair participating in an unusual activity- a game night. Meg and Christine coined the idea and begged the boys for it. Though it was a difficult task for getting Erik and Raoul to give in. Such an activity most would consider fun that also contained a nature of competitiveness didn't work when the two men loathed each other completely. But, both loved Christine dearly, so they agreed.
However, it was going about as well as you would expect.
"Oh God, not this again." Christine muttered, her head in her hands as she exhaled. Meg shook her head at the two as she observed them currently having a debate over the game of Monopoly the four currently were playing.
"I swear, you're rigging this! Who on Earth allowed you to be in charge of the bank?" Raoul demanded. Erik let out a huff of annoyance.
"As if I would resort to cheating, how asinine. Perhaps you shouldn't land on my property then." He suggested as if it were the most stupidly obvious thing in the world.
"I paid you already!" Raoul protested.
God, how Christine was embarrassed even with no one else but the friends ( a loose term, as Raoul and Erik hated each other and Meg and Erik were just acquaintances) were there. This was far more than a board game. No, game night just brought out the competitive spirit that desired to out do the other in both of them. And it was ridiculous! How childish!
Just as Erik opened his mouth to speak again, Christine uncovered her face and stood up from her seat with a forced smile. "Alright! Enough of that! Let's just say.... Everyone won!" She exclaimed as she began to put the game away.
"Yes!" Meg agreed, nodding her head as she assisted her flustered friend.
"What?! Christine, that can't be!" Raoul argued.
"There cannot be more than one winner." Erik (surprisingly, for once) agreed.
But one look from the soprano shut both of them up and wordlessly announced that was the end of that and their game nights.
