Ninovember Day 25: FriendSwap

i ended up writing this while im In My Feelings™ so it got sad :( sorry

“You know, I thought you’d have a more exciting life after college.”

Alya sighed and laid an arm across her eyes. “Honestly, same.”

“You guys are such debbie downers,” Adrein laughed. 

After setting another tea on the floor, Marinette flopped on a pillow and blew the bangs off her eyes. “What would we even do.”

Nino shrugged. “I dunno, dudette. You can travel somewhere.”

“I’m broke.”

“And I don’t think my father would approve of me leaving the city.”

“Uggggggh! Can we just go?!”

Alya eyed her boyfriend’s friend. “Go where?”

“Go… go! Somewhere! I’m bored!”

Adrien raised an eyebrow and deadpanned, “We’re all bored, Marinette.”

She slapped his arm. “Shut up.”

“Hey! You know I have a shoot in like three hours!”

She grinned up at him. “The uglier you are, the better.”

He smacked the upside of her head. “Asshole.”

“If we have to come over there and break up a fight, we would.”

Nino laughed, “Imagine being in Paris. Can’t relate.”

Marinette and Adrien glared at the DJ. “At least you’re doing something exciting.”

Alya leaned onto Nino and sighed. “I wish we could come back, but the holiday rush isn’t over. There’s so many sales and deals for new things that I definitely don’t need!”

Nino pointed a finger. “Aaaand we have interviews to do.”

“Right,” Alya nodded. “You’ll be okay with Marinette there, right Sunshine?”

The model rolled his eyes at the nickname and glanced at his new roommate. “We’ll be fine, Alya. Don’t worry about us.”

“Ha!” Nino’s face filled the screen. “Good luck with that. Marinette can be a disaster-”

“OKAY!” Marinette shouted as she clicked the mute button on the laptop. “THAT’S ENOUGH NINO! You don’t have to expose the 20 years we’ve known each other.”

Alya turned to a voice off-screen. “Oh shoot, we gotta wrap this up, Nino. Break’s over in five.”

“Right. Uh, sorry ‘Nette for asking you to do this, but I really think this is the best option for you.”

She glanced at Adrien and sighed. “You made the right choice, Nino. We’ll talk soon, okay!”

“Of course!” he winked, “Later, dudette!”

The line disconnected and the screen changed to gray, leaving Marinette and Adrien alone in their dim apartment. The clock ticked as the silence went on. 

It was really Alya’s idea, Marinette moving in with Adrien, this stranger she met only a week ago. Apparently, Alya and Adrien were friends before they even got their first apartment. Marinette wanted to move out of her parent’s house with Nino after they both graduated, but his girlfriend and his dream jobs were booming in the U.S, so they moved there. He didn’t even tell her until three days before they left. But that’s fair, there were too many instances where she left him unannounced. 

“Wanna go for a walk?”

“At two in the morning?”

“Yeah. I mean, we’re awake anyways.”

She stared at him before shrugging. “Sure.”

And they walked downstairs to the bottom floor and back to their floor before hiding under their warm and very separate covers, wishing their best friends would come back.

I FINALLY FINISHED IT! :D All that shading was worth it TwT Here it is!! Green the full comic! :D The total hours this took me probably about 5 hours cause I was watching YouTube or TV while doing this XD

Whoo boy there's a bit to digest here So basically I wanna design a few rooms for the Friendswap crew, and I decided to start with Sans' room. Tbh, I don't think he'd be lazy enough to leave his room the way he does in canon, more so that he'd prefer to keep his room kind of full. I think Friendswap Sans would try to write a lot of letters to a certain goat lady but would be too shy to actually give them to her or finds that they're too sucky or cheesy to give. Oh, and he would have many space posters, each one Alphys gave to him from the trash dump. And yes the bed changed coz it's easier that way
