Fun Skelebros idea to meditate over:

Papyrus is nagging Sans to act more serious when they're on the job, even more than usual. Sans responds by complying, much to Papyrus' surprise. He will try to be serious.

Then Sans ends up doing goofy things while convincing Papyrus that no, this is serious, actually. This is him being VERY serious. This mustache he drew on his face? Don't you know all serious people have mustaches? A row of snowmen making silly faces? Naw, they're a very serious defence mechanism, gotta get the human to let down their guard somehow, right? Planting whoopie cushions under snow? No, they're alarms! Gotta know when a human is coming, right? Papyrus buys all of this without question, and even follows suit, coming up with his own silly ideas that are very serious, actually. He has a system. They both do.

And then it turns out that Papyrus was pushing to be more serious because he's stressed about not being in the Royal Guard yet, and it turns out Sans' silly-but-serious ideas were just what he needed to loosen up and have fun again. Haha! Ugh, I can't help making it wholesome, okay?

I don't really feed much into middle brother gaster, but there's this idea i really like of sans being the eldest, and losing his younger brother, not just to the core, but also to madness and loss of identity. And i wonder if Sans could hold a special kind of resentment to the soul or the player after Gaster began to fixate on it.

Imagine the kind of jealousy or resentment you would have when a being beyond anything kill you, your family, and your species atleast once or twice, and your little brother who has nothing to do sheds no tears for you or any concern, but instead infatuates himself with that being.

How would sans feel if he found out that Gaster chases the blinding light when there are already 2 warm lamps behind him?

He's lost him.

And perhaps he'd get it, he wouldn't be able to blame him for that after all that he's been through.. but there is another to pin his grief on.

Adding into the Sans laughing thing, what do you think his laugh would sound like? I like to think of it being really goofy and sweet. Freaking dork.

I THINK Sans’ laugh would be a bit quiet but contagious. He’d laugh exactly like “hahahahaha”. If he starts to laugh louder he’d cover his mouth. But I can imagine when he laughs his smile gets wider and his eyes turn upward or smth (idk how to describe it but the skeleton equivalent of eyebrows knotting upwards). Seeing him laugh would be extremely contagious and if he were to ever have a laugh attack it’d be dangerous. I’d like to imagine him with the trait of when he starts laughing at something stupid, he can’t stop. And the longer it goes on, it becomes funnier.

As for PAPYRUS. I’ll just throw this in here. He’s got a maniacal cackling laughter that is just objectively loud. You know Quackity? Yeah, his laughter. But he genuinely says “NYEHEHE” when laughing. Maybe it transitions into HAHAHA halfway, but its mostly nyeh. He doesn’t have the grace to cover his mouth, he’ll just bury his face into a hard solid surface. If he got a laugh attack it would quiet down after a while only because he doesn’t have air and his metaphorical stomach hurts. Oh, what if he’d have the trait to hit things when he’s laughing. His laugh would also be inevitably contagious. Thankfully, Papyrus is good at keeping in his laughter. So most times you don’t have to worry. He’ll also yell a lot to mediate his laugh.

Yknow in a game sense, laughing would kinda be a little awkward in a dialogue based game where you don’t have the creative animation freedom for the characters. Maybe it’ll have to stay in drawings. It’s funny and cute nonetheless!

I have a vague idea for what their humor would be, but I’m keeping it in the archives for now.
