I just really like Rook's casual physical affection with Harding in this scene and Harding's little arm tap against Rook so Rook will stop and let her get the dagger first.

Hand on Harding's shoulder, aw.

(Late game spoilers because this reminded me of something else).

It immediately gets overshadowed by 1) Harding immediately popping back up and 2) Harding having some sort of dwarf magic now but it's a bad few seconds for Solona after Harding falls off the cliff.

I had totally forgotten about the falling bit and that long fall is a *lot* like what can happen to hear on Tearstone Island (except then she's also got horrific injuries).

Rook checking on her, awww.

I'll be so happy to have her around post-Tearstone this time.

Talked with Harding later about her new magic and Solona - operating on What Would Varric Say - told her it was a gift because that seemed like a good way for Harding to think about it (and moving rocks and turning-darkspawn-into-stone seems useful). Privately she's a little baffled by it.

This was a nice chat with Samara!

The waving from behind the boxes is always funny.

Samara explained the plan; Rae asked how she was supposed to attract Morinth without talking to her.

Samara: Show skill at working smoothly through a nightclub crowd. She will be intrigued.

(I bet Neve did amazing at that and Rae and all my other Sheps just went “okay, that’s out, what can I do?”)

Rae was a little worried about being alone without guns with a serial killer who could outclass her with biotics and said the whole plan would require careful timing.

Samara: I will be near, and I will come for you, Shepard. Trust me as I trust and honor you.

Aw.

And then Rae started to leave and Samara stopped her to say one last thing AND gave her a pat on the shoulder or side (hard telling with the animation). Rae was all “!!! physical affection!” especially since that’s pretty rare coming from Samara.

Samara: And Shepard: thank you. I do not share this burden easily, and you are the only soul I can imagine sharing it with.

Kasumi argued briefly about getting recruited to help fight the Reapers and then immediately caved when Darrian told her she was the best thief in the galaxy and could hack unfamiliar tech better than anyone and also that she could definitely sneak off with expensive tech at the end.

Kasumi: You say the nicest things. All right, I’m in.

Kasumi: And Shep...nice working with you again.
