headcanons for the frog force

sorry i’ve made u wait so long for this! i mean. it’s only been a few days, which is not my WORST track record, but i still feel bad xD

anyway! frog force headcanons, i can do that:

one thing they said in the episode was, “we’ve been attacked by your kind before” which! they COULD mean prototypes that look like the Super Robot (since we saw robots that looked like THEIR mech in the Prototype episode). they COULD also mean that they faced Mandarin (perhaps during his ‘training’ with SK, or maybe it was the clone!) personally, that’s always fueled MY headcanons for their being other robot monkeys, or a sentient monkey race.

SPEAKING OF, in Prototype we do see several ships that look like the frog team’s mech, so it’s very possible that their mech was created by Maezono and Takeuchi as well! maybe it was sold to them to provide more funding for the research!

@sweetcircuits & i have discussed the possibility of their being an amphibious equivalent to the power primate!

they were OBVIOUSLY made as a parallels to the monkey team, so i imagine their personalities are supposed to coincide with our lovely monkey team. i like the idea of them having some similar traits---but maybe! maybe one or two of those similarities is amplified.

> for instance, the leader definitely seems to have a temper, which we’ve definitely seen signs of in Chiro. but maybe the amphiboid leader has a more volatile one than he does? and at the same time, maybe this leader is also more... pragmatic, than Chiro? i think that’s the phrasing i want!

> maybe Black is more forthcoming about things he learned from... the frog equivalent to the Veron Mystics? if such a thing exists?

> maybe Yellow is... worse temper than Nova probably isn’t likely :P so maybe instead she’s more openly in tune with her feminine side? i dunno!

> maybe Red is more of a daredevil than Sprx but less of a show-off? maybe he’s more into the fighting part & not quite as protective of his ship? or maybe he’s more laidback & lazy? or more vengeful / vindictive?

> maybe Green is very in tune with mechanics like Otto, but leans more into the strong and silent archetype? & is less prone to levity?

> of course, i also like the idea of them not being similar to the team at ALL, so!

as i’m typing this out i’m thinking of the possibility that they’re from an alternate universe, where THEY’RE facing down a Dark One Threat. i don’t think that’s likely though :P

i like the idea of them being from a planet, though, where both frog-humans (like the leader) and frogs like the team are common though! i like to think that they’re part of some kind of military force? or perhaps less military and more exploratory 🤔 either way!

um, i think that’s enough to start with, though i could probably keep going! i might add more to this later, but for now! i’m gonna post this & if people have more things to add please do!!!
