Tona - The Taino Frog Children - Batu (Batey) This is just a small sketch project I'm working on. Something to keep consistent with my post while also still working on a secret project I'm not allowed to post just yet. In this Tona Sketch I'm trying to show teens playing a traditional game played by the natives of the Caribbean, South America, Mexico and Florida. The game is called Batu and/or Batey, I'm not too sure if it's a regional thing or a preference thing but it's a game where you can't use your hands and the object of the game is to get the ball threw the hoop if I remember the game properly. I may be wrong in some of the detail so I suggest you look it up. Too be honest I wasn't planning on making the sketch this detailed but it kind of took over, I'm glad with how it turned out. Tona - The Taino Frog Children - Fishing This is just a small sketch project I'm working on. Something to keep consistent with my post while also still working on a secret project I'm not allowed to post just yet. This set here is of the Tona fishing, most of there techniques for fishing where instructed by Baba Coqui when he was in his prime and first met the Tona. Before the influence of fishing and Coqui the Tons where left to catch small animals with simple traps. Minus the fish wrestling boy there fishing techniques where from Coqui's former human life as a Taino. That all I can really talk about at the moment so I hope you all enjoy the sketches. Tona - The Taino Frog Children This is just a small sketch project I'm working on. Something to keep consistent with my insta post while also still working on a secret project I'm not allowed to post just yet. I'm planning on making a few of these guys doing what villagers and town folk tend to do. What is a Tona you might ask? Well there is a sad story link to it that I'm hoping to make not so sad in the future, but for now the Tona are children that have been abandoned by parent left to cry as they cried more the Zemi or nature eventually turn them into frogs or coqui in some versions so they may survive the harshness of the jungle. Now I'm taking this story and adding to it making them there own people lead by the elder you see up there. I call him Baba Coqui which mean Father Coqui. Now I do have allot more to say but little room to explain, so I will reveal more as I post new tona. I hold you guys like what I have so far. I’m not sure how it happened that the Chickenfox and I were fortunate enough to meet Kevin Konrad Hanna at ECCC 2016… but we did! And he was kind enough to draw a Chickenfox for us while we stood there and gawked and asked really obvious questions (“Is that an eraser?” – no really, I actually asked him that. And then I asked how to use it. Ahhhh why)

YOU'D LIKE TO THINK THAT, WOULDN'T YOU?! But seriously, this only works if people are already paying attention. You play a show and do a song about someone's fandom, NEW BIGGEST FAN. You're busking and try songs about or from Doctor Who, Clone High, Thrilling Adventure Hour, Firefly, Buffy....nothing. Are my fandoms too dated? I need to get on that Adventure Time train.

I'm actually writing a song about this phenomenon right now.
