There was a post awhile back where vexen was hc as bipolar. Would you be able to do some general hcs about it, maybe some relationship ones as well if thats alright?

General Headcanons:

We’ve all seen how easily irritated the man can be. It’s like his nerves are constantly on a hanging thread and anything can set him off. He doesn’t mean to be this way, of course, and he doesn’t want to be this way, but he’s very particular and he sticks to his patterns. It bothers him when some of those patterns get out of place or are disturbed.

His moods can change and snap in an instant, going from ready to please and calm and understanding to frustrated and cold.

He talks? So quickly? It’s like there are so many thoughts running through his head at once that he has to get them out of his mouth and into the universe before the thought is gone forever. He likes having Zexion around to use as a sounding board off of which he can bounce his ideas - and Zexion is also great when it comes to taking notes, so that’s also a plus in Vexen’s eyes.

Champion of the phrase ‘fake it til you make it.’ He may seem like he has confidence but it’s literally mostly an act. There’s a lot of self-doubt going on in his head at all times, which makes it difficult for him to concentrate on certain tasks.

Finally, damn, the man is a horrific sleeper. Not that he moves a lot or tosses and turns, he just... sleeps restlessly. Like his body wants to be up and moving instead of sleeping. He’s always had difficulty sleeping and exhaustion just makes him more irritable.

Relationship Headcanons:

Please, for the love of God, he begs you not to get offended if he accidentally snaps at you. Sometimes he’s so lost in his own mind that he doesn’t even realize what he’s doing - he just knows that he’s on task and that there’s a distraction somewhere nearby, so his first instinct is to stop the distraction and get back to his main task.

He loves you even if he isn’t sure how to show it. Really, he does. Sometimes he seems like the most loving, thoughtful partner; other times it’s as if he doesn’t realize that you exist. Dwell on the moments where you know he cares, because he does. If you feel like he doesn’t, tell him. He’ll do his best to prove his feelings to you.

You’re going to have to get used to the rapid mood swings that will practically give you whiplash. He goes back and forth between moods faster than Zexion gets through books, but training yourself to acclimate swiftly is going to be a great skill to help you with other things in life, not just with him.

1. Favourite cartoon? My favourite cartoon growing up, and still today would have to be Spongebob Squarepants (first 3 seaons though)

2. Least favourite movie? I don’t know if I have an all time least fav but I have a lot that i just dislike. I recently saw “Animal House” for the first time and I really did not like it:P

3. Favourite Board Game? I played a lot of memory card games as a kid, but if we are talking ‘board’ board games then it would be Disney Monopoly or Frusteration which is just another rip off game of Trouble. I also used to love setting up the game Mousetrap but I don’t think I ever played a full game of it, cause we never read the instructions:P

4. Do your prefer movies set in modern times or period pieces? I like both really, a good period piece is always nice (especially those romantic ones) but I like movies set anywhere as long as the story is good.

5. Favourite era in fashion? Either 1970s-1980s or the period around 1860-1910 (think Haunted Mansion type outfits, little gothic revival)

6. South Park, The Simpsons or Family Guy? South Park is number 1, but the Simpsons comes to a close second. Family Guy should never be brought up in my presence

7. Slapstick comedy or witty comedy? I can always go for a slapstick, but again I enjoy both:P

8. If you had to listen to music without words would you choose: Jazz, Classical, Electronica/Dubstep, Bluegrass, Metal, or Big Band? Definitely Metal \m/ but I can also do Electronica or classical

9. Are you usually more interested in Villains or Heroes in stories? I always like hero stories, but I don’t mind villan ones. I think finding out the backstories of villans is interesting, but the books I read tend to usually focus more on hero story arcs

10. Do you / would you like to keep a journal/diary? I keep a dream journal and try to write down everything I can remember. I have a journal that I keep all my to do lists in, and also checklists of stuff I want to find or create, movies I need to watch etc

11. Favourite colour? I have a hard time picking one colour so I just put “the colour of a sunset” cause I just adore them so much. I wear a lot of black, and if it was a colour I would probably choose that though:P
