Just finished reading They were 11 and to avoid spoiling it for my gnosia mutuals (bc its an interesting short sci fi manga that may have inspired the game and thus be of interest to you) I'm going to put my unnuanced, glib quip about the ending under a read more, apologies to everyone who has spent a long time honing Good non-reductive Takes about gender in this manga

So I'm pretty sure we can consider Frol a trans man because he's about to experience the Canon gay trans man Event of entering uni and immediately having a suuuper messy first relationship with a straight guy who like, on paper is cool with his gender but like... not exactly encouraging of their transition... Then whenever they finally break up he starts the testosterone as soon as possible and remembers that was actually what he wanted to do from the beginning and the boyfriend was the only thing holding him back

just finished with They Were 11 ! some pages I loved :0 I absolutely adore Frol, his decision at the end really went against his character tho imo and made me really sad !! fwnbaw
