Michael was on the road, when the Olympic roster were announced, you knew he would make the Czech team. so you planned a dinner for two nights later when he was home. You were going to take him out to his favourite restaurant in cold Winnipeg, and then go for his favourite place in the city and have some hot chocolate. it was cold and lovely outside and you just wanted to make him happy.
you were about to phone the restaurant when your phone rang, it was Michael.
"Baby! guess what?" he exclaimed, his accent brimming on every word.
"What?" you knew what he was phoning for but you wanted to please him.
"I made the team!" he exclaimed "i made the Olympic team!"
"I know you would because you are the best player i have ever seen."
"oh but i wasnt sure if i would make it."
"But you would, i always knew you would. because i believe in you baby."
"okay, well i have to get ready for the game, i just wanted to call." he said, and you could see his smile on the other end. "i love you baby."
"i love you too, see you in a few days. i have a surprise for you" you said, before you hung up the phone.
you planned the date night and it ended up being perfect. At the end of the night, at Michaels favourite place, he got down on one knee and purposed.
