got to tell my friend about the great vowel shift today.
we were talking about arthur's trip to the 13th century, and then how modern the english is. i was like yeah obviously it makes sense why harlan used modern english instead of middle english. i mean can you imagine arthur trying to talk to anyone and decipher what they're saying? it'd be so difficult especially considering the great vowel shift and she was like ?? what the hell is that? and i was like AM I ABOUT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO THE GREAT VOWEL SHIFT. OH MY GOD and then i got to look up great vowel shift diagrams which was. great :)
