The show "FROM" is one of those shows that isn't for everyone, not bc it's a matter of taste but bc it's a matter of intelligence and paying attention, people have an obsession with complaining about the show "having nothing" "being confusing" y'all just don't pay attention, the show is filled with content, with things to speculate about (which is what makes it even more fun) it's full of mystery and story building, and that's your problem, the fact that they want to actually build their story and mystery instead of making something rushed, and y'all want everything shoved down your throats and made completely clear to you.
Saw this theory on Reddit and my mind is all over the place. The monsters archetypes align with characters from the Old Maid card game.
The “Old maid” card game also has a musical instruments version called Fiddlesticks which (I think) we can see in Victors room when Tabby visits. They’re both MEMORY games. Victors whole thing is about remembering things. And them unlocking memories with Jade playing the violin???
So now both Victors card game AND Ethan’s book are real???? Is this a mix of the two??
I fear I'm not immune to Jade's slutty shirts
guys does anyone agree how weird Jim-ghost was when he was talking to ethan?
i mean, when boyd and jade saw father kathari and bartender-tom, they viewed them as part of their conscious. and there was always this pull and push tension when they faced a dilemma
but this post-dead-Jim has two new things going on
1- he hugged ethan, im pretty sure it was the only time 'dead person' hugged someone living. i dont even think that any of the others so much as touched their hallucinations.
not even the time when boyd saw abby in the chamber
2- the way Jim kept looking back at the trees, which most of us picked up
ive seen theories saying that Jim could be a story walker, but i cant see how that would work since we've seen his body
Kenny Liu, my baby. My cute, laid-back, unproblematic, empathetic, patient, humble, loyal, open-minded baby. He can do NO wrong.
One thing I really appreciate about FROM is that they introduced a cop and they said "This cop sucks. People will try to appeal to her better nature based on her being a cop, but guess what, she's a cop and she actually just sucks." Acosta accidentally shoots and kills someone and instead of showing a little bit of guilt, she demands to know why everyone won't just get over it, it wasn't her fault anyway. (And this group totally WOULD forgive her.)
Acosta effectively kidnaps Kristi and rants about how she's a good person and doesn't deserve this, unlike all these other chumps. And when they saw Ethan walking alone in the woods right after finding his father's disemboweled corpse hanging from the barn rafters. I thought "Now we'll see some humanity from Acosta. She'll have to stop to pick up Ethan, who wouldn't?" And she instead she said that bitch is fine, I got shit to do.
Acosta is the only irredeemably terrible human in this show and they specifically made her a cop.
