I literally don't give a single fuck and I'm so tired of all the bitching about the show, and I'm not talking about opinions or criticism here, I hate that I have to clarify every single time bc it should be obvious, I mean the constant complaining about everything, we don't even know the context of certain scenes or lines but people are already crying about it, for example the scene with Baela where Rhaenyra talks about her enemies, people are all mad bc "Rhaenyra is blaming Baela for something that has nothing to do with her" bro we don't know the context of that conversation bffr, and y'all are seriously gonna start throwing tantrums bc Rhaenyra is yelling at characters you like, she's grieving and under so much pressure, a little yelling is not gonna hurt anybody, do I like what she does next?? No, but again we don't know the context, and it's getting fucking annoying that y'all not only have to complain about everything but also can't just enjoy a show without attaching it to the book.
The worst thing that could have been done is book adaptations and not bc "they are not done correctly" but bc book fans think they are entitled to have a say in everything that happens and god fucking forbid anything changes, even a tiny thing (like in akotsk), separate the two and move on.

HOTD fans both team black and team green are all about "book canon" and throw actual tantrums about not getting book canon, but then at any point that team green sees a rumor of something that somewhat benefits them and according to them will "make team black mad" all of a sudden it's fuck book canon, who cares about it, the most recent example are the rumors that Rhaena is going to betray Rhaenyra and save Gwayne and marry him and support the greens, and you would expect people to not want this to happen bc it's far from being book canon bc even after the show moved away from canon people still asked for it and preached it, they still do now, but not with this....how convenient, so I guess y'all don't actually want book canon y'all just want whatever is good for you and whatever makes team black angry for no reason, bc that's so mature. What a weird ass fandom this is, team green vs team black started as such a "normal" thing that is created when a show has fans people were passionate but it was not over the top but now it's just nuts, now people are more focused on making each other mad, on rooting for things that go against what they once preached just so they can start a fight and for what?? I just saw this on Twitter and got reminded of how transphobic the hotd fandom is and it made me mad all over again. Emma D'arcy at the hands of this fandom has already gone through the wringer the amount of bullshit thrown at them all bc some people had this weird obsession with the young Rhaenyra/Milly and the character's rebellious, care free side that Emma's obviously could not have, and then on top of that there was almost a fetishization with Milly especially when it involved Matt/Daemon, Emma was harassed and got the nastiest shit thrown at them from comments about their looks, bc god forbid someone doesn't fit societies stupid beauty standard, to transphobic comments and misgendering, to hate comments on their acting when they were out here carrying this show constantly, and stealing the spotlight 99.9% of the time, their first appearance was a scene so well acted, so realistic it was jaw dropping how real the whole thing felt, then the last episode of season 1, another birth, finding out Luke is dead, that stumble, the whole episode in season 2 with no lines just their facial expressions and you want to tell me they can't act or that "Milly is better" literally fuck off, and even after all of this, bc nothing ever really stopped some things slowed down a bit but nothing ever stopped, but I guess this bigoted assholes were in need of another weird ass reason to hate on Emma and be transphobic towards them, bc now they blame them for the bad writing in the show and the direction the show has taken, basically anything bad that you don't like on the show, people are blaming it on Emma, how fucking mental are you, how sick do you have to be, not only is it not normal to hate watch a show, I'm sorry but it's just not, but to hate watch it, and then go on social media to spread hate after hate about it that you then let it get into hating the actors bc you're obsessed with a book, it's psychotic.
