I wish I had took care of it better, but one of my favorite things is “Andy Bumatai’s Ohana: A Scrapbook” that I got from the Friends of the Library’s annual book sale (cancelled in person due to the pandemic, but currently have an online sale). The book has some articles and some ads and of course lots of photos of the comedian, and also has a novelization of his special “All in the Ohana”. A pretty good look of Andy’s career up to the 80’s. In celebrating Hawaii’s own Rap Reiplinger’s birthday today, I wanted to share an excerpt from his book “How You Figgaj?”, a local take on Ripley’s “Believe It Or Not”. Picked up this issue of #FantasticFour because it features two of my favorite characters, the Thing and the Hulk, currently in his #ImmortalHulk incarnation. Usually when these two fight, it’s a slobber knocker, with the hulk going out on top. Not this time.
