I absolutely adore your blog, it’s everything I’m hoping for every time I open tumblr, a combination of weird facts, nature, and crazy hilarious stories... have you ever considered doing a podcast? I’m already super excited abt your book and may preorder with bday money when/if it comes, but I’d love to hear some of your stories told in audio format too

I’ve considered it! some of the holdups are:

1. I know fuck all about how to do a podcast on account of my Hard Of Hearing ass can’t understand the majority of them.

2. I don’t have anywhere in my house I could convert into a quiet enough space to record in, so if Y’all are ok with hearing my cat knocking shit over or neighbor’s kids screaming in the background, this might work.

3. I have the voice of a raven with laryngitis or bagpipes made out of a live goose depending on the humidity.  This may be less than Ideal.

I’m supposed to be meeting with my publishing consultant next week and one of the things on the Agenda is Audiobook and E-Book options though, so that’s exciting! They’d be coming out after pre-orders are closed and the book is for sale.

I love the vibe of a trans positivity night! I just joined my school’s trans support group chat tonight and I’m feeling excited about it... Im slowly coming to terms with my own identity as a trans person and it’s pretty scary but I’m glad it’s happening. I want to give a little shoutout to griffinmcelroyspisskink for playing a role in helping me accept that I don’t need to have a specific word for my identity to accept that I’m trans!! have a great evening trans siblings

thank you! <3 that’s awesome, i’m so glad you’re finding some support and solidarity! i’m so happy for you that you’re finding self acceptance, it can definitely be really tough but it’s very worth it. @griffinmcelroyspisskink has definitely had an influence on me too in that way - gir’s pretty rad !!

hey hey! I loved your response to the ask about dorm decorating, so I wanted to ask my own question... do you have any tips for colors to add to a mostly blue room? I have a tapestry hung up that has green tones, but my bedding, rugs, and accessories are all blue. I like the idea of yellow, but do you have any other ideas? one of my posters has a nice orangey-red....? thanks so much!! also, what does your dorm look like?

aw thank you! and i’ll put my reply below the cut, hope it gives u some ideas!! 

first off, it depends on what shade of blue tbh - if it’s more blue-green, then add colours like teal/other bluish-greens and then your yellow would work quite nicely with that - i’m thinking the colour palette of that one sunflower van gogh painting, the one with the greenish background? or if you have a brighter deeper blue base, i also quite like the colour palette of the blankets on this bed, you could work in more earthy green tones (moss greens?) then alongside darker yellows, i think that would look quite nice and cosy! and would fit in with your poster too perhaps? 

also consider what colours your walls are - if it’s white, is it cool or warm tones? like the “undertones” or however they call it adsjkl. that might help with deciding if you want to go more of the blue-green cool tone way or warmer shades! basically i really like your idea of yellow, and greens would be nice too i think, but definitely consider what shades of blue you have already and work from there!

as for my dorm lmaoo, it was hopelessly plain last year. i just had lots of postcards and photos for my board, which i had covered with a more neutral cream coloured wrapping paper.  my throws/cushions are red/pink and i had fairy lights that gave off a green light so it was never going to be cohesive anyway asjdkl so i didn’t bother. also my duvets are all different patterns and colours so whilst i’m in a different room next year so could do some designing, i probs won’t lmao as any colour palette i decide will clash with something - though i will def want more plants, that’s probs it!! i wasn’t lying when i said i wanted to live vicariously through u all ahaha
