Dear Sis, 

You are wonderful and I want you to live a great life free of the pain that I faced learning these things.

Life:

You are worthy of love, respect, and dignity.

There will be things that you come across in life that do not make sense to you, that does not mean that their experience isn’t real. Ex.) non-binary genders, sexual orientations, and a host of other situations.

Mental health is just as, if not more, important than physical health. Your own well being is of the utmost importance, always.

Skinny does not mean healthy

Do not base your self esteem should not based on the media and other people’s perceptions

Live your life in a manner that does not harm others and respects them

Being a “Woman”:

Gender is not what is between your legs. It will not be easy coming to terms with this but it is important.

Your gender does not disqualify you.

You owe no one your body.

Virginity and sexuality is defined by a male perspective….do you and be protected. 

Being a feminist does not mean that you have to hate men. Following “traditional” roles do not make you less of a feminist. 

Education:

The more you know, the more you grow.

The more you know, the harder it is to understand the world around you. 

College should not break you.

Take nothing at face value.

Bitches gotta get up and get out the house for this March of Dimes walk. I'm totally for volunteering but it's early as fuck and I had 4 hours of sleep. Ughhhh. Time to make moves lighhh hmmmm.

Terminology is so vital to many discussions, particularly that of race, sexuality, and gender. By defining something it makes it real. Not every word we use will be defined in a Webster's or Oxford dictionary but when having is discussions on race, sexuality and gender it is important to not erase or belittle our peers by not using the correct terminology.

Education has failed everyone. We do not learn things that make us better people or a better society, we learn things that keep us subdued. If we knew better we would do better. We do not know any better so we are not doing better.

Women get mad at other women for their significant other lying to them. The person that should be held accountable isn't. Why? Because of the girl code? Because you came on his dick and therefore made this person "yours"? Pshhh it's not the other woman's fault for the person in the relationship acting as if they are available.

Words are so relative sometimes. What is normal? What is a girl? What is being a female? We assume what words mean based on generations of unchallenged definitions. I'm not saying overthrow society but I am saying learn to accommodate other definitions because not everyone follows that definition.
