Can you get a job with just html, css and Java? Basically just as a front end developer ? With square space, Shopify, and WordPress does this take away a lot of need for front end developers?

Also with ai becoming more prominent is it "useless" to just have front end experience and are more companies wanting more people with back end experience?

So I actually had to program a bunch of data shaping to automate a bunch of reports which was a neat experience but its not nearly as fun as making user interfaces. Data shaping was like click a button look if the console object looks right more forward. It took a lot more brain power then I want to admit lol

Hi Tumblr!

I woke up this morning excited to get started with my course again. I love learning :D it’s so fun and I think the topic is cool! Coding! I like learning the ins and outs of the technology that I use everyday :) makes me appreciate all the work that goes in behind the scenes more.

I haven’t gotten to much coding yet. I’m still in the introductory phase of the course. But I noticed on Codecademy they actually have project ideas that you can do on their platform! How cool! I was going to install Brackets.io on my computer again to get started making projects once I have enough tools, but maybe I’ll do one of their projects. I’m not sure if they have varying levels based on their courses and where you’re at with their course work, if I can’t find anything suitable I can always just make my own project.

But yeah, I’m excited to learn and make stuff :P

Codecademy also has lots of courses. I realized mine isn’t considered a course, but rather a career path. 

I want to get more involved with the community too. I think it would be helpful to network and grow with others. I also want to get better at typing. I feel like as a coder it would be beneficial to improve in this skill. More time efficient and also less error if I’m more familiar with the computer. 

I’m excited want to continue, but I also don’t want to burn myself out just yet lmao

I have other things that need my attention, so sadly I must go to them as well. 

All in all going well, and I’m excited to continue. I think also doing my hour of code would be in my best interest to do in the morning. I’m a morning person, I feel most productive in the morning, so I think if I really want to complete this challenge and keep the promise to myself, then that would be the best time to get it done.
