Yes, the league is still running. We’re taking advantage of the quiet period and moving Frontier League’s chat groups from Skype into Discord. Simply click the link below to join, or make an account if you haven’t already.
Pros for the new chat are member roles that make it easy to check which users are gym leaders and which of them are online at any time. Being able to fluently use the chat from a mobile device as well as directly from a browser make it even easier to get battles going.
Note: The server is for league members and challengers. Any unrelated people or trolls will be removed.

Pokebank update has been released so it's time for you challengers to give us your new teams! The freshly made gen7 trainer cards for Frontier League are just waiting to be filled, so feel free to submit your trainer information when you’ve made yourself familiar with our new ruleset. Old trainer cards won’t be deleted but instead archived into a separate folder.
Here are the rule updates Frontier League has for the Sun & Moon season, effective February 1st forward:
Alolan forms: - Species clause: You can’t have both original and the alolan form in your team as they share the same national pokedex number. It’s either Raticate or Alolan Raticate, you can’t use both. - Form clause: If you have registered an alolan pokemon in your team, you are not allowed to use the original form in its place in battles. Alolan Raichu must always be alolan, original must always be original.
Banlist updates: - All legendaries are banned, as usual. - Ultra Beasts are banned. Due to their power and exclusivity we put them in the same box as legendaries, and since all official metagames allow their use we figured it’s no harm for Frontier League to offer some variety. - Type:Null is allowed. - Silvally is allowed, but it’s locked to a single type. If you register Silvally into your challenge team, please specify which type you will use. - All Z-moves are allowed. - And most importantly: ALL MEGAS ARE BANNED, at least for now. Due to the low number of mega stones available in Sun&Moon we didn’t want to restrict both challengers and leaders into a small group of powerhouses. If all megas become available later on, this ban will be lifted.

Frontier League is giving everyone one week to prepare for the upcoming changes. New gym themes and changes to current leader teams will be released on February 1st and from that day forward the Sun&Moon season in the league will begin!

In addition you can join our Skype chat groups and share strategies with fellow challengers, organize practice matches and multi battles with other trainers or simply socialize and get to know more people who invest on competitive pokemon battling!

If a bulky Pokémon is ever needed, look no further than Primarina. Or in my opponents case, look at Porygon2. The battle simply started with a misplay of poisoning the wrong Pokémon. But did the tides turn? See if Challenger Ben was able to receive the Lethality Badge.

New gyms + New season begins!
Sun&Moon has finally arrived at Frontier League! New graphics are here so take a look at our updated Leader pages! Rule changes can be found in this post, and in addition to that we have some new gyms to introduce!
Our first new gym is a returning theme but with new twists: Tropical Garden makes a comeback and replaces the Disaster gym! This jungle threat is maneuvered by Leader Satira (previously known as Leader Tobias) in Double battle format and a victory against him will earn you the Cherry Blossom badge.
Secondly, One Step Ahead gym has retired and will be replaced by Glacier! To fight the masters of freeze you have to reach the Elite Four and once victorious you will earn the Frost badge! Glacier gym is run by Elite Four member Skudde and operates in Double battles.
A jump to another generation of Pokemon has also spurred multiple changes to existing themes, so check below the cut to see the list of other adjustements!
