Teaching in Madagascar

(A really long post about) Madagascar
SO MADAGASCAR THEN
We were based on the island of Nosy - Be which is just off North West Madagascar. We stayed in the town of Hell-Ville. You just can't make this shit up. Hell-Ville is a really well developed town, with so many vehicles. I wasn't expecting like, actual transport, but there were so many taxi's and tuk tuk's everywhere.
The main place we were teaching at was this Primary school called Saint Marie that was only 10,000 to enrol your kid in for a term (that's about £2.50).The kids at the school were so happy all of the time (it was borderline confusing how happy they always were). They'd yell HELLO at us from across the playground, and just in general around town. So they were adorable. Teaching was also really cool (like, I have a lot more confidence now than a month ago so that's pretty good). I also did a BTEC advanced TEFL so now i'm qualified bitches
(This was taken right after we'd lost a football game against the nuns who were teachers at the school. The kids stormed us chanting in Malagasy - probably that we suck at football)
So the people in the house that I stayed with were also really awesome. We spent a large majority of our time fighting over the hammock (which we uplifted on the first day). Spending a month in a house of guys was interesting to say the least but they were all great. Ross, Patrick, Hugo, James, and Mitch were all A+++ 5 stars etc and I never would have met these people if it weren't for this so that's awesome.
(James, Ross, Hugo, me, Tom, Mitch) - Beach Olympics. We're failing to spell out Ohio (where Mitch is from). We were also forced into being called team Unity (short for community) but we much prefer 'Team Impounding Doom'. We wanna take your doom and then charge you to get it back.
Me and Patrick. We went Quad biking in an attempt to get to Mont Pasot (the highest point on the island) but we drastically failed after Ross and Tom's quad bike ran out of petrol. Hilarity ensues (me and Pat found this extremely amusing)
IN CONCLUSION, MADAGASCAR WAS FANTASTIC V GOOD A++++
