Damn I love these industrial front loaders! Blain says that I have "spidey- scense" and since it's been raining the smell of TWO dogs in my house has been anything but bearable. I ran out of dog shampoo and mixed a concoction I found online of: 1/4 cup Dawn dish soap 1/2 cup of white vinegar 2 cups hot water Prior to this I rubbed both dogs down with a baking soda paste to get rid of the smell. It's funny I remember when I used "dog" shampoo I always used to smell the lovely scent but I still smelt wet dog. After both dogs were done, I could barely smell them at all (unless you put your nose right on their coat, I don't think that counts). Score!! Then the next task I'm doing to de-stinkify my dogs is wash their dog beds. My 100 & 50 lb dogs have two beds. One mammoth bed, the other from Ocean state job lot ( which ironically this one costed me a hell of a lot cheaper and the one they fight over the most) which don't fit in my laundry units. So here I am at the laundromat totally taking advantage of the huge ginormous industrial front loaders. I'm almost done with the beds and I'm just waiting for them to dry but when I pulled them out of the loaders, the dog hair on the beds were practically gone! If I washed them in ours, I would still have dog hair remnants. Hooray for no more dog stink!
