“Oh come on, Jack. Must ya always tell on me to Tooth every time ah say somethin’ to ya.” Aster grumbled out slightly, crossing his arms. “Besides, ‘at’s not very fun now, is it? Tattlin’ on me?”

It was almost time. She was dressed, decorated, and accessorized. The sun was hitting that spot that began dusk. The light growing richer, warmer in color as it greeted the night. 

A few words to her fairies assured her that yes, flowers were set up. Any chairs needed were in place. The Elephant was patient as always, ready and waiting to seal their promise in the eternity of an elephants memory. Jack was dressed, ready and anxious as anything to see her. As the kiss placed on her brow- directly from him she was assured- was any indication. Toothiana couldn’t help an excited giggle at that.

“Alright. Start getting everyone in place. I’ll be there as soon as they’re ready.”  Knowing the small but rowdy bunch, she still had a bit of time.

        Cold didn’t bother gargoyles much. Which was quite good seeing as this boy brought it with him. It was both odd and fascinating how where the boy stepped there was left an icy footprint, forever following him behind though melting before it could truly catch up.

           ❛  i don’t mean any disrespect when i say this, but you don’t look like any winter spirit that i know of.  ❜ come to think of it however, katara had never even seen a winter spirit, so, there was that. but for some reason she was finding it hard to believe that the white haired boy before her was responsible for keeping both the north and the south poles snow laden. though she knew that spirits were never ones to trifle with, she was curious, and pressed a question. ❛           why haven’t you appeared to us before?  ❜

There’s a soft smile and warmth spreading across her cheeks. Tooth gives a little tilt of her head.  “What’s that for?”

" last christmas I gave you my heart, this year, to give happy tears, i'm giving you something special. " he gets down upon one knee. his eyes sparkling as he memes his way into a proposal. " Toothiana, I love you with all my heart and spirit. I would give my life for yours thousands of times over. will you marry me? " he offers up a ring that he had North and Ster help him design. a fire topaz set in a silver base etched with his signature frost pattern.

What started with a strong urge to roll her eyes in fondness quickly turned to something much more serious. Her heart pattering double time as Jack went down on one knee, her hands flying to her chest. Toothiana gaped, cheeks going rosy as she took in the scene. His smile. The tiny, lovely ring held out before her. The fact that this wasn’t a dream! She tugged a feather just to be sure. Was she taking too long to answer? She could swear time stopped, but she couldn’t be sure. 

“Yes! Jack, yes!”  An excited chirp following her blurted answer. She wanted to tackle him in a hug, but no. The ring. Was he supposed to take her hand, was she supposed to hold it out for him? Tooth gave a nervous giggle, reaching to hover her fingers over the ring.
