his hand lazily traced patterns along the longer feathers of her hips. occasionally his cold fingers finding her skin as he rested his chin upon her crown. his eyes soft and contemplative as he watched DJ play with the mice and the mini fairies. this was what it was like to be home. this is what it meant to belong. this is what he had almost stopped letting himself hope he could have. “I want another one.”
It was a recent skill she had developed, working while sitting in one place. Letting herself be cozy and cuddled, finding perfect peace in the middle of her normal chaos. Her focus was fully on the new tooth box taking shape in her hands, sealing the mosaic pieces on the top and making sure the lid opened smoothly. Content to sit cocooned in Jack's arms as she did, trusting him to keep a watchful eye on their little princess. The soft motions of her husband's cold fingers had Tooth having to steady her hands when he brushed skin instead of feathers. Pushing down the little shivers it caused.
"Hm?" Tooth murmured, opening and losing the box a couple times to assure herself it was working flawlessly. Satisfied, Toothiana shifted to look at Jack as best she could. "Another what?"
