I’m almost at the end of s2 (first time watching! long time loving Pedrito) and I’m having a controversial opinion about Pablo. like. he’s evil, we know. he is violent and bad (and a total mood). but he’s on the farm with his father and I just...almost wish things would work out for him. am I nuts???

this is completely normal, i was rooting for him the entire time!!! like especially if you take things like US imperialism into account. i was rooting for pablo right until the very end.

that being said, show pablo is much nicer than real life pablo lmao. take that bombing on that busy street where that child dies, for example (deutschland 93). on the show they justify it with pablo wanting to see his family safe and not getting what he wants and in real life he did it without any particular reason. i actually had some fights with my mum about this because she remembers the real pablo. but i love narcos for portraying pablo like that because they could’ve picked a very different approach but they didn’t.

speaking as an absolute clown who preordered the gold edition steelbook with season pass... i would recommend waiting to see if it goes on sale for the holidays. the release has been pretty buggy, personally i didn’t experience anything too bad besides one thing that the newest patch (1.0.4) has since fixed. but my experience is not universal, as i know a lot of people on reddit and the ubi forums are still experiencing issues with the game. so overall the quality and polish has been a little inconsistent.

re: game content, i did a write-up here that goes into more detail about my thoughts! v subjective and ymmv of course so take everything i say with a grain of salt!

all that being said, although AAA games are quite expensive, you’re definitely getting your money’s worth since it’s such a long game. so if you’ve really got a hankering for some viking adventures, and can afford to pay full price, i support that choice as well :)
