The great bread debate
Me: Bread is sacred and we should be thankful that bread is available in stores near us so that we may make toast or sandwiches, puddings or complementary to soup. However sacred bread is, it should never I repeat NEVER be frozen. Who would you do such a thing to something so precious some might I ask? I reply: monsters
Frozen-bread lover me: You do realise the bread you buy in store was frozen before put on the shelf? What does it matter if the bread is frozen again? It tastes the same as if it hadn't been frozen again. There is literally no difference between shop-frozen and double-frozen bread
Me: I concede that bread is frozen before shelved. However I must ask why you feel the need to freeze bread in the first place. Much like eggs, bread is preferably used at room temperature and so freezing the bread further inhibits your life in that you have to wait longer to make any form of sustenance from this bread
Bread-lover me: you argue that bread is sacred and beautiful. Well that I the answer to your question pertaining to WHY we freeze bread. We enjoy it so much that we want to preserve it. Furthermore, we can buy 2+ loaves this way without fearing expiration of the bread within that same week.
