Returning Home || frozen-contrivance
Well. He had been delaying it long enough. Lauriam was nervous about returning home -- that much was certain. He was also afraid of just how much his daughter had grown in the time he had been gone. It had only been a short time relatively speaking, but she aged faster than normal. He had missed most of her toddler years as well as what could be considered the first part of her childhood.
Of course he had video chatted with her as much as he could manage while he was away, but there wasn’t nearly enough. Hopefully, she wouldn’t be too angry with him.
Let alone what Even would think.
Lauriam sighed as he approached his home, a bag filled with his belongings over his shoulder. It was time to finally enter. He ran a hand through his hair, calling out to Even as he entered, blue eyes looking for any trace of his husband.
