Frozen / / Michael Clifford.
Chapter 3.
I was waiting for Calum to finish showering before we were going over to Michael’s house for some ghost looking. Except Calum obviously hadn’t told them what I could do so they just thought they were meeting me because even though me and Calum had been friends for almost two years, I had never met the other boys.
Calum walked out in to the living room and smiled at me.
"Hi, you ready to go?" he asked and it stood up from the couch.
"Yeah, just remember that if I see her I will push you or punch you or something" I said and smiled at him.
"Why so violent?" he asked with a pout that made me laugh at him.
"Let’s just go" I said and pulled him after me out to the cab that was waiting to take us to Michael’s.
Calum just walked right into the house which made me laugh at him because he seems to so that at everyone’s house.
"Hello!" he screamed into the house and from somewhere in the house we heard an answer.
Calum seemed to know where it came from though as he led me through the medium sized house. We walked into a bedroom, which I guessed belonged to Michael, and the three boys were sat in there.
Calum sat down on the floor next to the guy I recognized as Ashton and I introduced myself.
"Hi, I’m Alyson but you can call me Aly" I said and sat down on the bed after Michael made some room next to him.
"Hi" all the boys said back and I leaned against the headboard and looked around the room, searching for some type of spirit. Nothing.
"Is anyone hungry or is it just me?" Michael asked and looked at us one after one.
"I wouldn’t say no to some food" I said and Calum rolled his eyes.
"Like you would ever not eat" he said and winked at me.
"Don’t be a dick" I warned him, pointing my finger towards him. He just laughed at my threat before standing up.
"Let’s eat" he said enthusiastically and it was my turn to roll my eyes towards him.
The boys started walking downstairs and I followed quietly, looking at the pictures that were hung up in the wall next to the stairs.
They were all pictures of Michael and his family when he was younger. I was looking at one of the pictures when someone spoke to me.
"I remember that day, Michael had just told me he wanted to become a doctor and I was so proud of him but look now where he ended up" Rose said with venom in her voice.
I couldn’t see Michael as a doctor, actually I couldn’t see him doing anything else than music.
It then hit me what she had said and I turned to her.
“Rose Clifford, you’re his grandmother” I said in realization.
"I was, yes, died in 2010 when he wasn’t stupid enough to think music was a career" she said and looked behind me.
"You’re little friend is here" she said and I turned to see Calum standing at the bottom of the stairs.
"It’s all his fault you know. Maybe he’s the one I should haunt" she said with an evil laugh before disappearing.
"Ghost?" he asked and I nodded.
"Definitely the one who has been haunting Michael. The same one that was at your house and oh, did I mention it’s his grandmother"
Calum looked surprised and then went to say something but got interrupted by Michael who came out of the kitchen looking for us.
"There you are I thought you were lost" he said to me with a smile.
"No I was just looking around, nice pictures by the way" I said to him and walked down the few steps left of the stairs.
"So, food" Calum said and hurried into the kitchen. Me and Michael followed him in a slightly more normal tempo.
The three boys sat around the table when we walked in and Michael just shook his head.
"All we have is sandwiches and I’m not going to make them for you" he said and sat down next to Ashton.
"I could cook something" I suggested.
"No no, you’re a guest plus these lazy boys can make their own food" Michael said but I just shook my head.
"No really, I love to cook you just have to show me where everything is" I insisted and he looked like he was about to protest again but gave up quickly when realizing that I actually wanted to cook and wasn’t just trying to be polite.
I ended up cooking spaghetti bolognese, something simple that I could cook in my sleep.
I placed the spaghetti on the table before going back to check on the sauce.
The boys had sat down in the living room, playing video games. My orders since they were only in the way.
"Need any help?" Calum asked from behind me and I answered without turning around.
"You could place the table"
He reached into the cabinet above my head and took out five plates and five glasses before putting them on the table and coming back for the cutlery.
He smiled at me and took the warm sauce from my hands, placing that on the table as well.
"FOOD!" he called out to the other boys and sat down at the table. I sat next to him listening amused to the boys heavy feet running from the living room to the kitchen.
"Looks delicious" Ashton, who was the first in, said to me. The other boys sat down on the empty two seats and looked expectantly at me.
I laughed at them fighting about who should start. Luke won and put some spaghetti on his place with a smile.
He went on to the sauce leaving the spaghetti fork to Michael.
"This was so good Ally!" Luke said happily, putting his last fork of spaghetti in his mouth.
"As usual" Calum said from next to me. He was leaning back in his chair with a pleased look on his face. The one he always had when he had been fed.
"Thank you" I smiled at the boys and stood up to clear the table.
"Hey you cooked so we clean" Ashton said and stood up quickly, taking the plates from my hands.
"Yeah sit down" Michael said and I frowned at them.
"But I made the mess so I’ll clean it up" I said but the shook their heads.
"Nope" Calum said and sat me down in the chair again.
"Rude" I whispered causing Calum to laugh loudly.
"We’re helping and you call us rude he laugh and I shrug.
"I mean yeah" I say with a little laugh.
"Well then we’re really rude" he said and I shook my head at him. Weirdo.
