Dude, SO much of midnights is extremely frtt coded its insane that we had already mostly finished writing when she released it!!!!! carrie has always claimed question...? as a connabeth song but listening to it now it absolutely has frtt vibes too, like:

How long has Percy been in love with Annabeth?? Was there a moment when he realized it?

carrie has much more articulated thoughts about it than I do <3 but i agree, i think he really came to the realization around pasta night when she pushed him away. because up until then it was casual and "pretending" in some ways as Annabeth said, but when she brought her marriage into it she made it real.

And that scared the crap out of him!!! Because he doesn't do "real" he does fwb with reyna and hookups with random girls and he DEFINITELY does not fall in love with the american contractor who's going to leave the country by the end of the year

Omg I remember seeing you and @captain-jackson hint at the mafia a few weeks ago before FRTT was announced so halfway through this chapter I was like wait is this a mafia fic??

Listen..,, Piper and I are both connoisseurs of silly mafia romance novels. When we talked about this fic being set in Italy I suggested (mostly as a joke) that percy's family is in the mafia. And when we were discussing what would happen to gabe:

FRTT was absolutely perfect. If I could change one thing it would be to add one more smut scene after they are in love. Is there anything on the cutting room floor?

When will you and Carrie be posting your next Percabeth fic together? I just finished frtt, it’s amazing, and your individual fics are amazing as well. :)

I'm really glad you enjoyed frtt!! Typically we only write and post longer stories like FRTT and roman holiday around christmas, so you probably won't see anything of that length until the end of the year.

However, we do have some plans for our pirate AU that we're hoping to have out in the next few months. Carrie understandably wants to finish TLG before we start working on this, and I have a few non-fic projects I'm working on in the meantime, so it might be a minute before that comes out. but we're definitely planning to write in within the next year!

I have been listening to the FRTT playlist and loving it! Especially all of the Italian songs! Was there a specific Italian pop song that Percy played and Annabeth eventually started liking?

Aaah thank you!!!! We like to think that Percy is a huge Blanco stan and that’s the “terrible pop music” sally is referring to in chapter 19 (for the record we love blanco and would never call his music terrible he was in my top 5 Spotify wrapped artists 🫶).

Nessuno is kind of the quintessential frtt Italian song, though it is not one Percy has to convince Annabeth to like <3
