With a closing of the eyes… i see You through my Heart… a face in repose creates a smile…and… communion with a Soul becomes real.

Truth
The eyes of Truth are always watching us... This I feel... This I Love.
Creative Energy
To manifest anything... One must focus on one's own Creative Energy... Ka.

Yesterday
Magic...
one word can describe us...
one word can describe a feeling...
one word can describe a moment in time...
Breathe...
being with you yesterday...
"our time" is what I am breathing now...
slowly I feel all of the emotions as I inhale what was a peaceful experience...
Silence...
as I watched the orange moon rise above Masonboro last night...
my voice was quiet...
my soul was singing as thoughts traveled across the quiet night to you...
Peace...
is what I am...
is what you are...
is what the future will bring as we manifest a Way...
Home...
is where my soul is now...
a physical place is wherever my soul travels...
freedom achieved upon the realization of acceptance...
and...
Oh Muse of Me...taught me many things did the Indigo Sea...
things I already knew deep within my Being...
now on the surface...
Water...
The cleansing element I have always known...
You have always known...
I am now cleansed by going to the Sea...
the Storm...
A Gale did not try to destroy me...
the Universe sent the challenge so that I may learn...I did...
find what was always there...
Love...
Of Self unconditionally...
a lesson of Life now consumed in Me...
so that I may be able to spread the feeling to all humans in all ways...
You...
The High Temple...
the highest Love is one of an unconditional reservation with a soul connected...
all Love is acceptance of a respect for others than Self...
Freedom...
A choice without pressure...
without conditions projected...yet...
the voice of the feeling will come from me to you...because...
it is Truth...a Truth of me which I alone must put out there to the Universe...I alone will accept the result of my affections delivered...
The Past no longer exists...
a place to go only to remember lessons...
the physicality of which will never return...
ever...
The Future will come...
a place we will go to Live...to feel...
the physicality of which will be real...inevitable...
the product of lessons learned...lessons which have given us a Strength to keep the pain of the past from ever returning again...
I am real...I will always be the Way I have learned to be...
and I will grow stronger in that Way...a Way you are...a Way you see...feel.

Food
We all need sustenance. We who have lived in our homes alone can prepare our meals for ourselves in a relatively easy manner. We can think of the preparation as a joy...or we can think of the preparation as a chore...either way, food is not something we think of as being complex unless we make it that way. Most of my life...and maybe your life is similar...I would come home from work or play and fix myself a sandwich, cook some nachos or spend hours joyfully preparing a wonderful meal like Risotto for myself and/or others. I may stop by the Grocery Store on the way home to purchase needed ingredients or I may have what I need in the fridge.
At sea...alone...everything changes from what was considered by us the norm. I packed the Cuddy with can goods, spices, quick snacks like Power Bars supplied by Nestle, water and Mountain Dew supplied by Pepsi, bread, vitamins, and protein mix. Eating took on a new meaning for me while I crossed over to Bermuda and even while I was anchored up in St. Georges Harbor, Bermuda.
Most of the time crossing, I stuffed can goods like Ravioli or pinnaple chunks in different areas of the cockpit so that I could have quick access to food while I was at the helm and not on autopilot. Usually, in the morning hours, I would engage the autopilot and descend into the cabin for a meal of shaken protein mix/vitamins and resupply the cockpit with more snacks, water and can goods.
The first day at sea, I stayed at the helm until after midnight, enjoying the excitement of what I was embarking upon. From time to time, I would engage the autopilot, tether myself to the jack-lines and go forward to check lines or start a remote camera...for the most part though, I was chilling at the helm. When hungry, I would eat can goods...and I forgot how much I love Ravioli from a can...brought back memories from childhood!
The second day at sea, I had one of the best sashimi meals I have ever had. Dave Christopher, the Dock Master at Masonboro Yacht Club, set me up with a fantastic hand line rig using a cedar plug. He said to me the day before I left, “Frucci, you tie this off to one of your stern cleats, toss it overboard and within fifteen minutes, you'll have a Mahi!”. So, I tested his prediction. That morning of the second day was a calm one. The winds of the night before of ten to fifteen knots had calmed to less than ten knots with small swells and a sunny day. I was hungry and did not want can goods, so I tossed over the hand line Dave made for me. He was right, withing fifteen minutes, I saw the line jerking. I turned on one of the GoPro remote cameras and pulled in a small Mahi.
Not having anyway to cook didn't matter to me at all...that would have been too much trouble at sea for one person anyway...and I love raw fish. A while later, I cut the Mahi up and had the best sashimi I have tasted in my life...why muck a good tasting fish up with lemon or anything else? The way Nature prepares food for us is just fine with me.
While anchored up in Bermuda, I did the same thing from time to time only with a rod and reel...the way my Father taught me. Food was everywhere...all around me...all I had to do was exert a little effort and get it.
A lesson learned about Life. A thing which seems vast, lifeless and lacking activity on the surface is merely a mask of what lies beneath. Once we dig into something...a change occurs...a newness can be found. The path taken there beckons a return through the wonder of discovery...and I will.
Thank you Dave Christopher for teaching me a similar thing my Father taught me. One more tool added to the box of survival.

on Coming Home...

Home is a place I have found within Me...once a Peace is found...home is not far away...for me, at least. This was a personal discovery even before I left the dock in Wilmington, NC...yet...the voyage here to Bermuda set in stone the idea in my noggin.
The Cuddy will stay in Dockyard, Bermuda at West End Yachts until November of this year...
This journey I have embarked upon is not complete...as none of Ours are really. As the Bermuda Longtail beckoned me to rest here...as the first visitors of Bermuda rested here...so shall the Cuddy until She is ready to sail again...as did I after the challenge I faced in coming this far. My path wil continue...all of our paths do...yet...the course has changed...the spiritual destination will always remain the same. Portugal is a goal...as are many places and as physical destinations, they all become a part of the spiritual one.
This all began as an idea...a thought about "taking off" to think...to soul search...to find Peace...to find some answers to personal questions not unlike the questions we all ask of ourselves. Success or failure? For me at least, this journey...a journey which will continue...is a complete success spiritually. Getting here to Bermuda the way in which I sailed here...alive and healthy...is also a success from many perspectives. Lessons learned...experience gained...all of which can and will be applied to future experiences.
I am flying home to the physical home of mine...Wilmington, North Carolina today. I look forward to playing with my dog, Lucky...seeing my friends who I love dearly...going back to work...seeing my family...and preparing for a future unkown...the excitement of which will continue to fuel my Spiritual Fire.

THE BERMUDA LONGTAIL
A bird unknown to me came to visit each day...
all of the other winged ones would just fly...
the one unknown was different...
he would hover above me...looking at me...
I thought it odd at first...
every morning, seemingly the same one...
he would look at my mast...and then...
at me...
I spoke to him...
he would hover and stare...as if...
he listned...yet...
said nothing...
As I drew near my destination of Bermuda...
more would come each day...
sometimes three at a time...
flying around my little She...hovering above me...
Upon my arrival on this land, I found...
the unknown one to me was the bird of this land...the Bermuda Longtail.

Facing walls...

I sit here...
Facing a wall...
another one as we all face our own...
I, in the analysis process...
wonder about a way to improvise...
Acceptance of where I placed my Self in the past...
is part of adapting to the present...
I will overcome this wall...
my path awaits me on the other side...as it does for all of us...
This moment in time is required...
although the barrier seems a monster...
I, like all of us...
possess the tools to fight it...
With Peace in my heart...
not allowing the negative to possess Me..
I will wak my path again..yet...
now I must focus on the Way...
I see this thing which is stopping Me...
and it sees Me.
